🍎OUR NUMBERS ARE RISING, AND WE NEED OUR COMMUNITY’S HELP. 🍅
Last month, we were serving around 600 families a week.
Two weeks ago: 644 families.Last week: 672 families.
We are getting close to numbers we haven’t seen since the SNAP freeze, and right now our dry-food inventory is sitting at about half capacity.
We still have food. We are still providing meat, some fresh produce, baked items and basic dry goods thanks to Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado. But with more and more families walking through our doors every week, we don’t want our neighbors leaving with just a few cans, some bread and produce.
We want families to have food they can actually turn into meals. ❤️
We want a parent to be able to look at what they chose from our shelves and know they can make dinner that night. We want our seniors to have food that will stretch. We want our neighbors to continue having nutritious options and choices that work for their households.
🥫 OUR BIGGEST NEEDS RIGHT NOW:• Pasta• Rice• Instant potatoes• Boxed/packaged sides• Pasta sauce• Mac & cheese• Canned tuna or chicken• Cereal and shelf-stable breakfast foods
We are asking our community to help us fill these shelves.
Host a food drive at your workplace, church, school, neighborhood, business or organization. Get your coworkers together. Ask your friends and family. Put a collection box in your office.
It doesn't have to be huge.
20 items matter. One box matters. One can matters.
If interested in hosting a food drive email [email protected] for more details.
Because when all of us give a little, together we can make sure our neighbors have enough to put real meals on their tables.
❤️ One can at a time, we CAN can hunger.
Please share and help us spread the word.
