DAI People will lead. How they lead makes all the difference. DAI equips the servant leader in each of us The world needs strong Christian leaders.

In our broken world, God plants local Christian leaders to bring the lasting hope of the gospel to their communities. These leaders face enormous challenges — like corruption, disease, persecution, poverty, war — and most find themselves ill-equipped to respond. Development Associates International (DAI) equips these leaders to respond by creating, using and distributing interactive educational to

We were honored to partner with the team at Compassion International Bangladesh recently, bringing them DAI's course on Women and Men Leading Together.

Facilitated by DAI Senior Consultant Dr. Beth Birmingham, the workshop helps teams grow in embracing the leadership skills and gifting of both women and men.

We pray that this course will help the Compassion Bangladesh team grow in cohesion, teamwork, and effectiveness as they release children from poverty in their country.

As a leader, do you know how to manage conflict?

At DAI, we believe that leaders should not only learn how to resolve conflict, but transform it. Conflict, stewarded well, can actually be an opportunity for leaders to strengthen relationships with and among their team!

Pictured here is a recent Conflict Management and Transformation workshop facilitated by Ehab Tharwat,

DAI Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa.

The participating leaders are elders from various Presbyterian churches from Minya, Egypt. We pray that what they've learned will help the body of Christ flourish in their region.

We are grateful for the work of DAI Myanmar in empowering the next generation of Burmese leaders to lead like Jesus!

Last week, the team partnered with Jewels Future International School to train their educators with DAI's Learning to Lead curriculum. Now, the school's teachers and administrators are equipped to empower their students with the heart and habits of servant leadership.

Pastor Okwi couldn't believe the impact DAI's Servant Leadership course had on his congregation in Rwimi, Uganda.

He had seen how "big boss" leadership (exemplified by the Banyan, or Omutoma tree) had suppressed his people's gifts. Now, servant leadership (represented by bamboo) is empowering them to discover and take ownership of their unique gifts and calling.

Kavita Joshi’s face lights up when she starts talking about fashion. “I can’t put it into words, but I just love it. I could spend all my time around clothes.”

After earning her Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Designing and Merchandising, Kavita (pictured on the left) worked for a time in the corporate fashion sector. However, as her family grew, she had to put her passion on hold.

Then, during her Spiritual Formation course in DAI’s master’s program, Kavita heard God encouraging her to take back up the passion He had given her. “God said, ‘Give it to me and use it for my glory,’” she remembers.

What if she created a clothing company that employed marginalized, rescued, and displaced women? “I feel like I cannot keep the gospel and the social cause separate,” Kavita confesses. “Ultimately, the transformation that happened within me [when I met Christ] must lead to doing something for the welfare of society.”

Together with her husband, who enthusiastically supported her plan, Kavita registered her new company, InnoKriti. With the insights and skills she gained in DAI’s master’s program, she is developing her company’s strategic plan and searching for partners to collaborate with.

Ronald's leadership journey with DAI started with a Servant Leadership workshop. But it didn't end there. He shares,

"When I joined DAI Rwanda in 2022, I was working as an accountant in the manufacturing industry. Although I was employed, I felt a strong desire to fully explore and use my potential in the areas I was passionate about..."
