This evening, members of the Collegeville Fire Company responded with Trappe Fire Company No. 1, UPT Fire & Emergency Services, Lower Providence Fire Department, Royersford Fire Department, Skippack Fire Company and Perkiomen Township Fire Company for reported wire on fire into a business on W Main Street in Trappe Borough. Crews worked from the roof down to ensure that there was no fire in the building and that it was safe for employees and patrons to return.

Just a heads up to our Community. We have a few sirens in the area and there is no cause for concern.

HAPPENING TODAY: We just received notice from Constellation that they will be performing unscheduled testing throughout the day today (Wednesday, June 24th) on the emergency warning sirens surrounding Limerick Clean Energy Center (formerly known as "Limerick Generating Station"). There is no emergency or cause for concern.

The warning siren system consists of sirens located in the 10-mile radius around Limerick Clean Energy Center in Montgomery, Chester, and Berks counties. In a real event, the sirens are not a signal to evacuate, but a warning to tune to a local Emergency Alert Broadcast television or radio station.

Happy Father’s Day from Station 34! 🚒💨

To all the dads, grandpas, uncles, and father figures in the Collegeville and Montgomery County community—and especially to the dads running calls with us today—we hope you’re having a fantastic Father’s Day.

Being a dad is a lot like being a firefighter. It requires quick thinking, a lot of patience, the ability to function on minimal sleep, and dealing with people who occasionally throw tantrums for no apparent reason.

Here is how we know you’re doing a great job:
🔥Master of the Flame: Whether you’re managing a controlled burn on the backyard grill or making sure the burgers are perfectly charred, we respect your dedication to fire management. (Just remember: if the grill starts smoking too much, you know who to call).

⛑️The Ultimate First Responder: From fetching toys stuck under the couch to handling the literal and metaphorical fires of a chaotic morning routine, dads are always on standby.

🚜Equipment Maintenance: We see you out there perfecting those perfect lawnmower lines. Your dedication to apparatus maintenance is highly commended by everyone at the station.

A Quick Reminder from the Crew:
Today is your day to sit back in the Adirondack chair, put your feet up, and leave the heavy lifting to someone else. If a tone goes off in the backyard (like the timer for the steaks), you are officially permitted to delegate that duty.

Thank you for everything you do to keep your families safe, happy, and well-fed. Have a wonderful, relaxing day!

Throwback Thursday ( ): Cruisin’ to the Rescue!

For this week’s Throwback Thursday, we’re pulling a gorgeous piece of history out of the archives. Take a look at this vintage 1963 American LaFrance open-cab pumper—the true, original definition of a 'convertible' for a first responder! 🚒💨

You might think your convertible sports car has "wind in your hair," but this beauty was the extreme version. When we rode top-down in this, it wasn’t just a pleasant breeze; it was about getting to the scene and having 360-degree visibility while operating a pumper panel. The 'open road' was our only road, and the only top we needed was the roof on the station after a job well done.

Joking aside, this stunning engine is a testament to our history and the incredible craftsmanship and beauty of vintage apparatus.

If you love beautiful, powerful classic machines (both fire trucks and all types of other vehicles!), you’re in luck. The passion we have for our vintage apparatus extends to cars of all generations.

Mark your calendars for our upcoming Annual Car Show on August 9th! 🚗🚙

Come out to see incredible cars, meet your local firefighters, and enjoy some time with your Neighbors. Stay tuned for more details and registration information. It’s going to be a fun event supporting your local fire company. See you there!

Honoring Our Flag 🇺🇸

Today, the members of the Collegeville Fire Company pause to recognize Flag Day and the enduring symbol of our nation. The American flag represents the resilience, unity, and shared values that bind our community together.

As first responders at Station 34, we are reminded daily of the profound dedication to service that this flag stands for. Whether it is flying proudly outside our doors or displayed on our apparatus, it serves as a constant reminder of our commitment to protecting and supporting our neighbors.

We honor the history and the continued promise of the Stars and Stripes. Happy Flag Day from all of us at the Collegeville Fire Company.

🚨 COMMUNITY SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT: PA's Hands-Free Law is Now in Full Effect 🚨

The Collegeville Fire Company wants to remind all drivers that the warning period for Pennsylvania’s Interactive Mobile Device (IMD) law has officially ended. Police can now pull you over and issue fines for holding a mobile device while driving.

Here is what you need to know to keep our roads safe and avoid a ticket:

💵Fines Are Live: Holding or supporting a cell phone with any part of your body while driving is a primary offense, now carrying a $50 fine plus court costs and fees.

🚦Red Lights Count: The law applies anytime your vehicle is on the road, including when you are temporarily stopped at a red light, stop sign, or stuck in traffic.

📱What is Prohibited: You cannot hold your phone to text, email, browse the web, or dial/answer a call by pressing more than a single button. Reaching for a phone that requires you to unseat or unbelt yourself is also illegal.

⚠️Safe Exceptions: You may only use a handheld device if you safely pull off the road and park, or if you are experiencing a true emergency and need to contact first responders.

👀Watch Other Distractions: Remember, phones aren't the only hazard. Eating, grooming, deep passenger interactions, and adjusting the radio all dangerously take your eyes off the road and slow your reaction times.

Our crew would much rather wave to you passing by than meet you at a crash scene. Let's keep Collegeville roads safe for everyone—put the phones down and stay focused.

🚒 Stay safe, neighbors!

Concert in the Park Recap! 🎶🚒

Our duty crew had a fantastic time stopping by the concert in the park Tuesday night! We always love getting out into the community, chatting with our neighbors, and showing the kids around the rig.

Of course, the highlight of the night was handing out our signature plastic fire helmets to the future firefighters of Collegeville.

😔A Formal Apology:
We do have one slight regret from the other night. To the gentleman celebrating his birthday who asked for his very own plastic helmet—we are so sorry our supply ran dry! If you’re around any Monday night, stop by and we will ensure you get one and picture in our truck!

Jokes aside, thank you to our birthday guy for being such a great sport and stepping in as our honorary photographer to snap this group picture of the crew instead. Happy Birthday from all of us at the Collegeville Fire Company! 🎂📸

Stay safe, Collegeville, and we'll see you at the next event!
