Good morning Perkiomen Township!

It is looking like it will a beautiful sunny day out, perfect for “open air” train rides😎🚂🚂. All are invited to come across the street from the township building for free train rides, we of course are always happy to accept donations for the upkeep of the railroad. This is the one and only day of the year we are open to the general public so don’t miss out! Feel free to talk to our members/volunteers and ask questions about what we do and who we are. Maybe even pick up a membership application and one day you could be the one operating trains giving people rides😀.

As a reminder this is a not very much different than a full size working railroad. SAFTEY should be everyone’s #1 priority. Please keep young kids close to you and do not let them run across or on tracks. We everyone to stay off the tracks just like a full size railroad.

We are all looking forward to a fun and safe day, cya at the station🙂🚂.

Our beautiful railroad will soon look like this as the warmer weather makes its way in.

If you have the ability physically or financially to help us keep the railroad and landscape beautiful, we would love your help. Wednesdays and Saturdays, there are dedicated volunteers who could use an extra hand.

We also have several large projects that will have a large financial undertaking. These projects include:

- Drainage and erosion control.

- Tie and track replacement.

- Large paver patio project surrounding the clubhouse Pavilion.

- Dead or dangerous tree removal and trimming.

And many more!

If you are interested in helping physically or financially, please come on a Wednesday or Saturday morning to talk to our dedicated members and volunteers to find out more specifically how you can help.

Becoming a member is the simplest and easiest way to help us! Associate memberships have no requirements other than being 18 or older.
