The Museum of North Idaho preserves and illuminates our past to inspire our future. Through educational exhibits and programs, we highlight the history of Kootenai, Benewah, and Shoshone counties. Permanent exhibits cover the Missoula Floods, Schitsu'umsh people, French fur traders, Fort Sherman, steamboats, mining, logging, railroads, union wars, forestry and fire lookouts, and Farragut Naval Tra

ining Station. Throughout the warmer season, MONI offers walking tours of Old Fort Sherman, Downtown Coeur d'Alene, Sanders Beach, and evening cemetery tours.
