Servants With a Heart Servants With a Heart helps groups sponsor food-packing events to benefit hungry children and their families.

For 17 cents per meal, your group can sponsor a food-packing event (it costs $8500 to pack 50,000 meals in the greater Charlotte area, $17,000 to pack 100,000 meals). We will bring you the equipment (or help you find a place to pack food), and show your volunteers how to create a highly nutritious, vitamin-fortified, dehydrated soy-rice casserole. We then work with Samaritan's International (www.s

amaritansinternational.org) to ship the finished product, most often to hungry children in Nicaragua. We also work with organizations in Charlotte to use about 10% of the food locally.
