The Sammy James Foundation was created in 2013 in honor of Samuel James Saunders (06/05/11 - 08/26/11), our little monkey, Heavens little Angel.

On June 5th, 2011 the world was blessed with the birth of our beautiful Samuel, he was wide-eyed, curious and easy going. On August 26th, 2011, just 11 weeks and 5 days after he was born our little boy was taken from our arms and called up to God. Samuel James Saunders passed away from SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome). SIDS is the leading cause of death in infants aged 1-12 months, and is the t

hird leading cause of death overall in infant mortality in the United States. A lack of answers is what makes SIDS so terrifying, it is unpredictable despite years of research and claims the lives of about 2,500 a year. In April of 2013, we decided to fight back! With only two weeks to plan an event we pooled our resources and threw the first Sammy James spaghetti dinner in Pineville, North Carolina; after two weeks of planning we set our goal to raise $1000 in our Sammy's name. But thanks to family, friends and a great community we raised over $3000!!! We plan on hosting this event and attacking the SIDS disease until every one of our babies are safe and no parent has to feel the heart break we have felt again; until every Mother and Father can rest their heads comfortably at night knowing that when they wake their babies will be safe and sound. It's that time of year again! Time for The Sammy James Foundation campaign for Levine Children's hospital!

Below is a list of items we collect to make care packages for patients at the hospital. If you are interested in donating items or making a monetary donation so we can purchase whats needed please let me know.
This has always been one of our most successful campaigns for such an amazing Hospital, but we cant do it without your love and support.

Today is International Bereaved Mothers Day. It always falls the week before mothers day. For all the moms I know that have lost their babies- I Love You, I See You, You Are Never Alone. ❤💙

This post is looooooong over due but we were finally able to make our christmas donation drop to Levine Childrens Hospital. Due to illness in our house and with some staff we had to delay but this year thanks to the efforts of all our amazing friends and family we were able to donate over 60! Care packages, a huge bag of Loveys, NICU isolate blanket covers, and childrens masks for the floors that still require them. We can believe how thoughtful and amazing you all are. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Hey everyone there is still time to Donate to The Sammy James Foundarion Campaign for Levine Children's Hospital.
We are looking for travel size items to put our care packages together for families who may need hygiene items during emergent or long stays in the hospital.

We are also donating Loveys again this year again- if you would like to donate a Lovey to a child at Levine you can do that as well. The Lovey is $5, the money for the Lovey helps pay for the Care Packages, plus we will put your name on the donated Lovey "with Love Donated by (-----) "

This fundraiser helps so many families in need and we could not do it without the love and support of our community.

Hey everyone, we are very excited to launch another year of our Sammy James Campaign for Levine Childrens Hospital. We will be collecting donations for our care packages. Travel size items or monetary donations for us to purchase the items. Every care package we donate helps families with basic items during longer stays. Sometimes a shower is enough to help a parent reset.
We love and appreciate anything and everything you can donate. 💚❤💛💜

I have never been shy about sharing my story of loss and miscarriage. The pain of grief and loss is unimaginable. Often women dont feel like they have a safe space to tell their stories or experience their loss. I want to encourage all of my fellow moms in loss to share your story on our page. Share your experience of loss, grief and your journey.
