🌿 A Legacy in Bloom 🌿
The Stellie J. Jackson Enrichment Center was honored to dedicate the Rev. Stellie J. Jackson Memorial Garden on June 10, 2026. It was a beautiful morning filled with love, gratitude, reflection, and celebration as family, friends, community members, and supporters gathered to honor the life and legacy of a man whose vision and leadership helped shape our Center.

We were especially pleased to welcome the Superintendent of Clover School District, along with many other guests who joined us for this meaningful occasion. Because our Summer Enrichment Program was in session, visitors had the opportunity to see firsthand the children, staff, and activities that continue Rev. Jackson’s legacy of nurturing and inspiring young people.
Following the dedication, guests enjoyed light refreshments and fellowship. A special thank you is extended to Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hughes, whose assistance with setting up for the event helped make the morning run smoothly. We are deeply appreciative of Rev. Caldwell for his support and service.

The Memorial Garden will stand as a lasting reminder of Rev. Jackson’s faith, compassion, and commitment to children and families. His legacy continues to bloom in every life touched by the Stellie J. Jackson Enrichment Center.

Welcome Dr. Bertrina Scott!
A native of Hollywood, SC, Dr. Bertrina Scott earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the College of Charleston. She later pursued a Master’s in Human Development and Early Childhood Disorders and a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from the University of Texas at Dallas, where her research was published and presented at national conferences highlighting issues in child and adolescent development.
Bertrina has taught Psychology at several colleges and universities, including The Ohio State University, where she spent 15 years teaching and serving on multiple committees.
In 2019, she and her family relocated to Clover, bringing their business, Nanomeld, Inc., with them. Bertrina manages Human Resources for Nanomeld and leads Project CLEER, an outreach effort dedicated to giving back to Clover School District and other community organizations.
We’re excited to have Dr. Scott bring her experience, leadership, and love for children and families to the SJJEC Board!

We are excited to welcome Cassie Paolone to the Stellie J. Jackson Enrichment Center Board!
A proud Rock Hill native and Rock Hill High School graduate, she went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Southern Wesleyan University, where she also played on the Women’s Golf Team.
In 2017, she began her career with Edward Jones in the Upstate of South Carolina and, in 2023, transferred to the Clover office. Returning home to York County is truly special for her, as she continues to serve and invest in the community that shaped her.
She is actively involved with the Greater Clover Chamber of Commerce Board, the Clover Economic Development Board, and is a proud member of the Clover Rotary Club.
Serving this town as a Financial Advisor is, in her words, “a blessing and an answered prayer.”
