Nathan Piche with the economic development firm of Springline, was the guest speaker at Rotary. Springline is the advisory firm for the City of Clinton. Their approach is to manage leads and respond as quickly as possible. In addition to expansion, they also focus on retention of existing businesses and corporations. Nathan is shown with Secretary Krystal Smith, Vice President Ashley Wareham, and Carla Moberly Mayor of City of Clinton and fellow Rotarian.

Matt Wray and his committee of car enthusiasts took over Cruise Nights in 2022. Matt shared the changes that have been made to make it the success it has become. They have been able to bring celebrities to these Cruise Nights through sponsorships and through the sale of T shirts at each event. They average 300 vehicles each month, with the largest attracting 650+.

The Gabby Girls were guest speakers at Clinton Rotary Club. They began as a group of women playing poker to a philanthropic group doing amazing things in the community. They have given 14 scholarships to deserving young women, funds for medical services, etc. Since some of them are hairdressers, they saw the need for providing wigs for cancer patients. They are passionate about working with the women to help make them feel their best at such a difficult time in their life. They see themselves as Friends First—Giving Always! Pat Miles, band director and Katie Klinksick, assistant for middle and high school were guest speakers at Clinton Rotary Club. They were also accompanied by two of their students. There are 300 kids 6th through 12th grade enrolled in the program. Not all students desiring to be in the band can afford the expensive instruments. Rotary is happy to be able to donate $6,000 to the band to be used to purchase instruments so less fortunate students can have this experience. They are shown with Rotary President Scott Bernard.

Clinton Rotary Club once again manned the concession stand the homecoming game! Thank you to everyone who braved the heat for this worthwhile service project!

David Lee and Joyce Carr with the Clinton Chamber of Commerce, gave an update on the Clinton Tourism Association and the many entities they supported in the past year. Some of the sponsorships are Henry County Historical Society, Compass Health Charity Tournament, Big Brothers Big Sisters Half Marathon, Cruise Nights, W**e Stroll, Crappie Masters, etc. The city’s bed tax, which generated $144,676 July 2024 through June 2025, and Missouri Tourism Co-op matching funds make up the source of funds for these sponsorships. In addition to the sponsorships, they also promote the area through various print ads, radio and TV. They are shown with Rotary President Scott Bernard.

Alan Sanders, Boy Scouts of America Executive and Brent Worley were guest speakers at Rotary. Brent shared the history of the Kansas City Rotary Youth Camp, which was established in 1924. The camp is on 40 acres and fully accessible with campgrounds, swimming pool, ball fields, etc. The camp has 3,700+ campers using the facilities every year.
