Malachi Center was founded in 1985 to extend the outreach of St. It is operated by two full-time and four part-time staff. Almost 40 years later, the needs are still as great in our community as Malachi Center continues to serve as a safe haven where the homeless and low-income families and their children can build on their strengths and resiliency, access community resources, and take positive steps forward in their lives. We uniquely serve two populations -- families and children struggling with the impacts of poverty and the pandemic as well as the homeless and unhoused. This dynamic combination puts us in a unique position to provide essential service to our diverse community. By providing essential services and programming, our vision is to be a vibrant safe harbor where individuals and families are transformed through educational and social programs. Through our programs and services, Malachi Center continues to provide clients with the necessary skills to reach their full potential, and strives to empower individuals to overcome the challenges they face by providing a hand up versus a hand out.

We had a blast decorating mini pumpkins and creating pumpkin plushies.

Last Friday we had the pleasure of hosting our MC Connects Dinner series. 2 families joined us for a delicious dinner, meaningful conversation and an engaging craft activity.
We had such an amazing time, and we would like to give a special thank you to our families, staff and volunteers that were able to join us on Friday.

Slots for our Fall dinners are currently full, but waitlisting for our Winter series is available.

Today was our Open House, held the third Tuesday of each month, which featured the Mobile Clinic from MetroHealth; Fresh Produce provided by the Cleveland Food Bank; and a Housing Clinic conducted by The Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless (NEOCH). Additionally, a special opportunity was provided by The Caring, Safe Families for Children & Malachi Center that featured a TINY TREASURES POP-UP BOUTIQUE for pregnant moms or children under the age of two; who had the chance to shop for “treasures” & other assorted essentials! Thank you to all that come out to visit Malachi Center today!
