Great to see Mary Puzder in my neighborhood, who I first met through Cleveland Public Library. Mary serves as the Marketing Content Specialist at Cleveland Sight Center and is someone who consistently puts her energy into helping others, supporting important causes, and making a real impact in the Cleveland community through both her professional work and volunteer efforts.

Mary was in my neighborhood passing out information about the upcoming 13th annual 4 Miles 4 Water event on May 30. In her free time, she volunteers with the Associate Board of Drink Local Drink Tap, an organization working to improve water equity through projects, programming, and partnerships. The event also raises awareness about the more than 2 billion people worldwide affected by water scarcity, many of whom walk an average of four miles each day to collect often unsafe water.

It was great catching up with Mary and hearing about the work being done to bring more attention to global water access and community engagement here in Cleveland. To learn more about the upcoming event, visit Thanks Mary for the photo and hope to see you again soon!

Drink Local Drink Tap’s first public Beach Cleanup at Edgewater Beach is this Sunday, May 17th from 10:00 - 12:00! There are still several spot available, and you can register to join us here: https://drinklocaldrinktap.org/engagement/beach-cleanups/

The Cleveland Marathon will also be held during that time, and the route will shut down traffic on Detroit ave. and Route 2. Traffic however will still be periodically allowed to cross Detroit road, at West 65th and W. 58th, throughout the day in order to allow Beach Cleanup participants to access Edgewater Beach through the W. 73rd underpass.

Please use the map below to access the beach, and please allow for more travel time that morning to ensure you arrive by 10:00.
We look forward to kicking off a great beach cleanup season and look forward to seeing you then!
