Learn more about the story that led to The Vitrolite opening as a community space with local, purpose-drive brands.
Before Ohio City’s robust development, Anne Hartnett recognized a need for a cycling studio like those in major markets. In 2013, Harness Cycle began as a pop-up, quickly finding its first home at W 29th & Detroit Ave in 2014. Over the years, it grew into a community where thousands of Clevelanders connected through shared values and a love of movement. 🚲
From expansion in 2017 to navigating the challenges of 2020, Anne's resilience led to a bold vision. By 2022, Harness Cycle found a new home in The Vitrolite building, now also featuring Soul Yoga OHC and Patron Saint Cafe + Bar —revitalizing the community once again.
