We are SO excited — registration is officially open for the GOBDF Flying Horse Farms Adventure Camp Weekend! 🏕

This is one of our favorite events of the year, and this September we want as many of our families there as possible. A full Friday-to-Sunday at one of Ohio's most beautiful camp settings, designed for kids and teens with bleeding disorders and the people who love them.

Here's what the weekend looks like: high ropes, low ropes, canoeing, arts and crafts, a talent show, campfire nights, caregiver programming, and a whole lot of joy.

TWO PROGRAMS — ONE WEEKEND:
Family Camp (Ages 6–12)
For campers with a qualifying diagnosis and their families. Check in Friday, September 11th at 5:30pm and spend the weekend creating, exploring, and connecting.
Teen Retreat (Ages 13–17)
For teens with a qualifying diagnosis — or a sibling enrolled in Family Camp. Your own programming, your own space, your people.

When: Friday–Sunday, September 11–13, 2026
Where: Flying Horse Farms, 5260 OH-95, Mt. Gilead, OH 43338
Deadline: Register by Thursday, August 6th

GOBDF membership is required to attend.

🎣 What a reel good time! 🐟☀️

Our 2026 Fishing Clinic was an absolute blast! The weather was perfect, the fish were biting, and the smiles were endless. Kids and families spent the day outdoors learning fishing techniques, practicing patience, and reeling in some seriously impressive catches.

And it wasn't just about the fish — a huge shoutout to Irene from Akron Children's Hospital for leading an awesome slime experiment that taught our young anglers all about blood clotting and how our bodies heal. Equal parts fun and fascinating! 🧪

Thank you to our incredible volunteers, partners, and families for making this day so special. We can't wait to do it all again next year! 🧢🪝

We are already planning the best back-to-school kickoff of the year, and we want you there. Join GOBDF, Novo Nordisk, and Lux Infusion on Wednesday, August 5 for an evening that is equal parts education and celebration.

The night features expert speakers Sheila Biljes from Lux Infusion and Judy Doyle from Novo Nordisk, followed by a Silent Disco that will have you wondering why every educational program does not end this way.

This community is full of people who show up — and the Feasel family shows up in a big way.

When their son Luther was diagnosed with hemophilia at just two days old, they had no idea what the road ahead would look like. What they found was a community that wrapped around them completely. Now they are giving that back.

On Saturday, June 20, Team Luther hosts their 2nd Annual Poker Run for Hemophilia — a motorcycle and car run starting and finishing at Oak Grove Tavern in Galloway, OH. There will be raffle baskets, a gift card tree, a 50/50, and a whole lot of heart. All proceeds benefit GOBDF.

Can not make it on June 20? Team Luther t-shirts are on sale through June 12, with all proceeds donated to GOBDF's Unite Walk on behalf of the team.
