Your field guide to November 14 is here! 🧭

Pack your bags for the GOBDF Annual Meeting on Saturday, November 14, at Hocking Hills State Park Lodge & Conference Center in Logan. There's a trail for everyone in the family:

🥾 Trailhead Sessions (adults): Ask the Experts panel with HTC staff, breakouts on new therapies and insurance, and time with our industry partners
🌲 Little Rangers Outpost (ages 4 to 12): A state park naturalist, a nature walk, lodge crafts, and a movie
🧭 Teen Trailblazer Station: Four sessions made just for teens by Beyond Recreation

Check-in is at 9:30 a.m., and breakfast and lunch are included. A fully refundable deposit of $25 per family or $15 per person holds your spot. Friday night lodge rooms are limited, so register early.

What a Unite Walk weekend!

On September 26 and 27, our community filled the Akron Zoo and the Columbus Zoo. Together, you raised $87,836 for Ohio families living with bleeding disorders.

Team Akron raised $50,059, met its $50,000 goal, and took home the first-ever Director's Cup. Team Columbus raised $37,776 and made huge strides all weekend. The lion will be back!

Thank you to every walker, volunteer, donor, and HTC team who showed up. Every step mattered, on the path and before it.

Cleveland had a big weekend. So did we. 🏆

Guardians clinched the AL Central, Buckeyes handled Illinois, Browns closed it out with a win. And our own scoreboard looked pretty good too, Akron sitting at 99%, Columbus at 74%, both teams put in real work under beautiful weather.

Tonight's the last call for our anonymous donor's match, every gift still doubles. $15, about what you'd spend on a hot dog and a drink at the game, funds medical assistance, dental care, and emergency support for Ohio families.

What a weekend. Thank you to everyone who walked, volunteered, cheered, and gave in Akron and Columbus. This community shows up, and it shows up long after the tents come down.

Tomorrow's the day, Columbus. 🦁 Here's your welcoming party, Team GOBDF, ready and waiting to see you at the zoo.

8:00am-9:00am check-in at the Picnic Pavilion (arrive before 9 for free parking), 8:45am Pinwheel Ceremony, 9:00am the walk kicks off, a short stroll to Water's Edge Pavilion for the Awards Ceremony and a light breakfast.

And your admission gets you the whole zoo and aquarium for the day, Heart of Africa, Congo Expedition, Asia Quest, Polar Frontier, and more.

Tomorrow's the day, Akron. 🦓 Here's your welcoming party: Tanya, Dawn, and Billy have registration covered, Kathy's floating wherever she's needed, Katie and Debbie W. have your t-shirts, and Debra & David Jones from Panera are keeping everyone fed. This crew showed up, now it's your turn.

Didn't register in advance? No problem, walk-ups are welcome, and shirts are available for sale while supplies last.

8:00am check-in, 8:45am Awards Ceremony, 9:00am walk kicks off, and your admission gets you the whole zoo for the day. Grizzlies, lions, red pandas, penguins, the whole jungle's included.

Free parking, open till 5pm. See you there.

Can't make the deadline? You can still register same-day at either zoo, just without a guaranteed pre-ordered shirt. And good news either way: the match is still running, every gift through Sunday night gets doubled, dollar for dollar, up to $2,000.

We found something HUGE in the jungle. 👀

An anonymous donor is matching every gift, dollar for dollar, up to $2,000, through Sunday night. We have absolutely no idea who it could be. 🐘 (No idea. None. Totally a mystery.)

Registration for both walks closes tomorrow at noon, but donations, and the match, run through Sunday. Double your impact while it lasts.
