CABVI was proud to participate in the Local 12 Health & Retirement Expo this past Friday at the Sharonville Convention Center!

The free community event brought together organizations and experts focused on health, wellness, caregiving, retirement planning, and other resources to help individuals age well and stay connected. Attendees had the opportunity to explore educational seminars, cooking demonstrations, community resources, and more.

Events like this provide a valuable opportunity to connect with community members, share information about vision loss, and raise awareness of the programs and services available through CABVI. Our team enjoyed meeting attendees, answering questions, and discussing how we empower individuals who are blind or visually impaired.

We were also grateful to see Liz Bonis remembered at the event. Her support and dedication to informing and connecting our community left a lasting impact, and she is deeply missed.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table!

Congratulations on your retirement, Wayne, and thank you for your support of opportunities for individuals who are blind or visually impaired. We wish you all the best in this next chapter!

It was with great pleasure that CABVI attended the surprise party for Wayne McCulty, who is retiring from the State of Ohio. During his time as their Deputy Chief Procurement Officer, Wayne shepherded our VIE Ability supply contract and helped us navigate the addition and growth through the State of Ohio Community Rehabilitation Program (CRP).

CABVI’s President/CEO Teri Shirk, Vice President of Business Development Jennifer Alvis, and Major Account Manager Kelley Young traveled to Columbus Ohio to celebrate Wayne and thank him for helping create jobs in Ohio for people who are blind or visually impaired.

We wish him all the best. Thank you, Wayne!
