One of the most important decisions at the LADD Summer Picnic each year: burger or hot dog? 🌭🍔

With the sun shining, music playing, and plenty of good food to go around, we asked our friends at the picnic to weigh in on the age-old debate. Now we want to hear from you, which side are you on?

Stay tuned for more highlights from this year’s Summer Picnic. The fun isn’t over yet!

Volunteerism is about more than giving time, it’s about building relationships.

Once a month, the team at Great American Insurance visits LADD’s Find a Way location for Financial Fun Hour, an an afternoon of fun, laughter, and genuine connection with the individuals we support. The smiles say it all. Our individuals look forward to this every single month, and we are so grateful for a corporate partner that truly shows up.
Thank you, Great American Insurance, for being part of our community!

At our most recent board meeting, we were honored to welcome State Representative Mike Odioso and the CEO of the Ohio Provider Resource Association, Pete Moore, for an important conversation about the future of disability services in Ohio. Following the meeting, Representative Odioso toured LADD’s new senior living campus at Victory Parkway, a community designed to help older adults with developmental disabilities live independently as they age and their needs change.

Thank you, Representative Odioso and Pete Moore, for your time, your insight, and your willingness to show up for the people we serve.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Amy Krieg, a cherished member of the LADD family.🧡

Amy was a devoted Direct Support Professional who brought warmth, joy, and deep compassion to everyone around her, the individuals she supported, and the colleagues lucky enough to work by her side. She didn’t just show up for her work. She showed up for people. Fully, every single day. Her kindness and bright spirit left an indelible mark on this community. To Amy’s family and loved ones, our hearts are with you. Thank you, Amy, for your years of service, your beautiful heart, and the lasting legacy of care you leave behind. Rest in peace. 🕊️

Every year, the Run, Walk & Roll at the Flying Pig brings our LADD community together for fun, encouragement, and achievement. 🐷🧡

This year, participants shared how long they’ve been doing the race, from first-timers to people who have joined us for over a decade! No matter how many years they’ve participated, we are proud of every single person who makes this event so special. Thank you to everyone who joined and supported us at the 2026 Flying Pig, we can’t wait for many more years together!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and this year’s theme is “More Good Days, Together.” 💚

A good day can look like a lot of things...a familiar routine, a kind conversation, a creative outlet, feeling safe, feeling seen, feeling connected. Whatever a good day looks like for you, we believe everyone deserves more of them. And we believe we get there together, by showing up for each other, building the right support, and creating communities where everyone belongs.

This month, we’re inviting you to pause and reflect: What does a good day look like for you? ☀️ Drop it in the comments and share one small thing you can try this week to make more good days possible for yourself or someone you love.👇

The State of Disability Town Hall creates space for voices to be heard, experiences to be shared, and conversations that move us forward. Just a few reasons why this event is so important to our community. Because real change starts with listening. Thank you to everyone who came out to support this event!!
