We organize and support networking, mentoring, leadership, and career development events. Cincy YP is a collaboration of young professionals (YPs) from various corporate YP groups throughout the Greater Cincinnati Area who are driven to connect, inspire, and provide diverse events for the YP community. Anyone! As an organization of corporate YP Employee Resource Groups, Cincy YP makes their events
are open to anyone looking to network with other YPs and generate good times. Our leadership team meets once a month and consists of the leaders of YP groups throughout the area. There is no age limit, although some consider young professionals to be ages 40 & under. What is the purpose of Cincy YP? Cincy YP’s purpose is to promote collaboration among the numerous YP groups in Cincinnati. By hosting events, it encourages young professionals from P&G to meet young professionals from Fifth Third and The Kroger Co, etc. All of our groups also host their own events that are sometimes shared among our group. For example, GE and Cincinnati Children’s have opened events to have members from Kroger, Macy’s, and Toyota come to participate. All of the large corporations are jumping on the YP bandwagon to attract young professionals to Cincinnati. Additionally, since each of these companies have their own YP groups, we can generate fresh ideas for events, member engagement, and retention. Another desire of our group is to introduce YPs to new or unique areas of Cincinnati. For example, hosting a happy hour at Madtree - Oakley, or a Friday meal at Quan Hapa - an Asian street food restaurant in OTR. We love discovering new places and connecting new people! Is there a charge to be a member? No charge! Most events are free as well! We have had a lot of success working with local organizations who are happy to provide group discounts as well as donations for other fundraisers. We try to make our events low commitment and low to no cost to focus on networking and introducing our constituents to Cincinnati. What kind of events do you do? Happy hours, professional development events, networking events, leadership symposiums, fundraisers, community service events, etc. Where are the meetings? Our leadership team typically meets at Union Hall! All YP groups in the Cincinnati area are welcome to have representation. How does someone connect with Cincy YP?
