Celebrating one year of progress for children and families.

Head Start leaders from Northern Kentucky along with Hamilton, Brown and Adams Counties recently gathered at United Way to mark the completion of Year One of the Head Start Innovation Fund.

Together, they highlighted encouraging results:
✅ Increased student attendance
✅ Improved teacher retention
✅ More children able to identify and express their emotions

The convening also set the stage for Year Two, with partners focused on applying what they learned to strengthen support for children, families and educators across our region.

Thanks to the United Way partners working to create brighter futures for our youngest learners. Learn more about our collaborative early ed work at https://ow.ly/HbRn50Zafm5

Celebrating this beautiful artwork was worth the wait!

A snowstorm delayed the mural unveiling in Aurora last year, so we’re grateful for the opportunity to reconvene around it on a warm sunny day. If you’re in the neighborhood, check it out near the intersection of Main and Second Streets.

The mural depicts what United Way stands for: neighbors working together to build stronger communities.

Thanks to the City of Aurora, IN and Main Street Aurora for your support, and to the artist, Christian Dallas Art. We’re so pleased with how the mural turned out and are thrilled that the community can enjoy such a vibrant and meaningful piece of art.

We enjoyed a special evening with Women of Tocqueville at Findlay Market — a place where people from every corner of our community come together. We know access to fresh, healthy food is essential for families, and we’re proud to support programs and initiatives that minimize barriers to health and well-being.

Thanks to our host, Julia Poston, and the entire Women of Tocqueville host committee — Maureen Bickley, Kelly Dehan, Candace McGraw, and Cheryl Rose — for helping us highlight organizations and spaces that are helping shape Greater Cincinnati’s future.

Celebrating a big win off the field 🏈🐯

Together with the Cincinnati Bengals and Cincinnati Recreation Commission we tackled a playground refresh project at Ryan Sports Complex in Westwood. From weeding and planting to painting and building, each volunteer helped create a more welcoming place for our neighbors to gather, play and connect.

A special thank you to our volunteer partner Paycor for supporting this Hometown Huddle.

Strong communities are built through teamwork, and we appreciate everyone who showed up ready to dig in 💪

Helping young readers take the next step 👟

We celebrated the power of stories and community at the ribbon-cutting for a StoryWalk at Todd-Creech Park in Lawrenceburg.

United Way is proud to bring this interactive experience to families in partnership with Lawrenceburg Public Library District and City of Lawrenceburg. Projects like this help spark curiosity, strengthen family connections and create opportunities for children to learn and thrive in their own neighborhoods.

“The next chapter [of our region] requires civic leaders willing to take risks . . . We have to be willing to ask tough questions. We have to stay focused on desired outcomes. We have to build Cincinnati to its fullest potential.”

Thank you Jeff Berding, President & Co-CEO, FC Cincinnati , for joining our Tocqueville and Centennial Society donors for a rousing discussion about what it takes to move a city forward.

Jeff has helped to do just that in Greater Cincinnati through sports, development, public service and civic leadership. We left this Tocqueville Tuesday feeling motivated to continue working together to build a stronger region where everyone has an opportunity to thrive.

We’re grateful to our sponsors The Christ Hospital Health Network and FBT Gibbons for making our Societal gatherings possible.

Tocqueville Tuesdays are all about creating space for meaningful conversation, connection and community leadership.

A legacy of giving isn’t built overnight — it’s shaped over generations and a commitment to bettering the community. For the Rosenthal's, they’ve carefully curated their legacy through the family’s foundation.

Dick and Jennie’s partnership with United Way of Greater Cincinnati has helped connect neighbors to food and essential resources, expand pathways to financial stability and keep families in safe, stable housing across our region.

Grounded in a belief that philanthropy should move the needle, they’ve focused their giving on measurable change and long-term solutions.

We’re proud to honor the The Rosenthal Family Foundation among our 2026 Tocqueville and Centennial Award recipients for their enduring commitment to strengthening Greater Cincinnati.

A library is more than shelves and books — it’s a place where students discover what’s possible. 📚

United Way of Greater Cincinnati is proud to support the transformation of the library at Ethel M. Taylor Junior High School, creating an updated space for seventh- and eighth-grade students on the west side of Cincinnati.

After partnering to support a new library at Roll Hill School, we saw an opportunity to continue that momentum at Ethel Taylor — helping students stay connected to literacy, learning and opportunity as they move into middle school.

Thanks to all the partners helping bring the space to life through furniture, painting, technology upgrades and donated books.
