Karen, a GCF fundholder, adopted Chester from the League for Animal Welfare, a no-kill shelter in Clermont County where members of her family, including her daughter, granddaughter, and grandson, have volunteered for many years.

Karen adopted Chester on August 15, 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic. During a time of isolation and uncertainty, Chester became a source of companionship and joy.
