✨ STILL LIVING IN OUR DESERT DREAMS ✨

It’s been a few weeks, and we’re STILL not over Bingo B!Z!NGO: Desert Dreams! 🌵💃🪩

From the incredible energy and unforgettable entertainment to the dancing, the laughter, the costumes, the surprises, and a room full of people who showed up BIG for EmPath for Autism… this night was one for the books!

But beyond the glitter, the music, and the fun was something even more meaningful: a community coming together to create more possibilities for individuals and families affected by autism. 💙

We are so incredibly grateful to every sponsor, donor, volunteer, partner, performer, and guest who helped make Desert Dreams such a wild success.

💙 A beautiful morning with Jagger, doing what he does best… simply being Jagger. 🎸

There is something incredibly special about watching a child find the things that bring them joy and feel completely free to just be themselves.

For Jagger, that joy often looks like a guitar in his hands, a quiet moment or a loud moment 😉, and a little music filling the air. And honestly, those are the moments we hope every child gets to experience. To feel seen, understood, accepted, and loved exactly as they are.

Because sometimes the most beautiful moments aren’t about changing a child’s world. They’re about making sure the world makes room for them. 💙

This is why we do what we do.
This is where empathy becomes action.

💙 EmPath for Autism is excited to welcome Mikayla Pitman as our Director of Mission Development.

Mikayla brings more than a decade of experience educating, supporting, and advocating for children with disabilities and their families. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Miami University and began her career as a special education teacher, including experience working in an autism-focused classroom. She partnered closely with students, families, educators, and support teams to help children reach their fullest potential.

Her passion for advocacy has remained at the center of her career. Through her work in special education, Mikayla developed a deep understanding of the importance of individualized support, inclusion, family partnership, and creating opportunities for every child to thrive.

Mikayla is deeply passionate about mission-driven work and creating meaningful change for children and families. She is excited to bring that passion to EmPath for Autism and help connect the community with opportunities to support its mission.

As Director of Mission Development, Mikayla looks forward to building meaningful relationships, advancing EmPath’s mission, and helping create greater support, inclusion, and opportunities for individuals with autism and their families.

Mikayla is proud to return to the Cincinnati community and join an organization whose mission closely aligns with the work she has dedicated her career to.

✨ When your impact comes full circle… ✨

Meet Ava! 💜

This weekend, Ava participated in her very first Kids Market. She helped make a variety of products, set up her very own booth, and proudly sold her creations at a market created just for kids.

But what makes this story extra special is what Ava decided to do with a portion of her profits.

After experiencing EmPath for Autism’s Shine Bright Showcase, Ava knew she wanted to give back. She donated $15 to EmPath, representing 25% of her profits from the market! 🥹

And she didn’t stop there. Throughout the day, Ava told people about EmPath, shared how much she loved the Shine Bright Showcase, and talked about how meaningful the experience was to her.

Ava, your generosity, your heart, and your willingness to share your light are exactly what the Shine Bright Showcase is all about. ✨

We are so incredibly proud of you and grateful that EmPath could be a small part of your story.
