Trail Life Troop OH-0520

Tonight we had a Clermont County Park District naturalist educate us about snakes of Ohio. She brought along a non-native snake, but is was still fun to meet an actual snake.

Good morning of fishing!

Glad we were able to get out and camp before the new year begins. While the Navs and Advs did their thing, our couple of Woodland Trailmen went on a hike while playing nature bingo and after lunch did some fishing.

Thank you to everyone that helped us run our rope bridge at Union Township's annual Police Night Out. Many kids had fun crossing the bridge and we had great conversations with parents about Trail Life and American Heritage Girls.

Thanks to all who were able and willing to brave the heat to celebrate America's 250th birthday with the community! And we won the best neighborhood or organization entry award!

So glad we could help our Wreaths Across America partner. We will have this on our troop calendar next year to hopefully help get on family schedules.

Thank you to Trail Life in a Union Township Clermont County for coming out to the Cemetery to recover and store over 1,200 American flags used for Memorial Day! Great young women and men. ( some already left before we could get a picture)
Thanks to Board Member Kelly Berg for site leadership.

More than the kick-off to summer. Honored to take part in a parade to remind our community of the cost of living in a free country. Thank you to the families that made time to get out early on a holiday and represent our Trail Life Troop OH-0520.

Tonight, we wrapped up our 2025-2026 regular year. In addition to our typical awards and crossing over celebrations, we also honored our troop's first Trailman who will complete every patrol, Fox through Adventurer, by next December. Our Committee decided that this Court of Honor was the time to recognize him. As the Troopmaster, it was a special event made more special by the fact that Trailman is my son. We are looking forward to seeing others continue to enjoy the program and age up from Trailman to Adult Leader in our troop. I had a couple of people ask me if I am going to keep with it. That is my plan. He was the reason I started on this journey, but the program is not just about us. Thankful for all those that help not only my son, but many sons, Walk Worthy!

Families, please feel free to drop photos up captured tonight in the comments. Tonight was a celebration of our troop!
