A number of brothers and their families gathered at the Lodge patio for a cookout and potluck dinner. Afterward, some stayed late and sat around the fire, exchanging lies and tall tales. Everyone had a great time. We look forward to more gatherings this summer and hope to see some of our other brothers and families attend.

The Brothers of J..B. Covert Lodge, ARE blue this morning, because they are disappointed as they missed out on the opportunity to win the Traveling Gavel until next inspection season. Despite our efforts, we couldn’t gather enough brothers to secure the victory, resulting in a narrow loss of 4 points. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to THE WINNERS OF THIS COVETED TROPHY, our Brothers at the Amelia Lodge. As often said by Bengal fans at the end of football season, “THERE IS ALWAYS NEXT YEAR”.

As evident from the photo, Thor has lost his hammer. The hammer, also known as the Traveling Gavel, was taken away by the brothers from Batavia Lodge, who came out in force to support their lodge. Congratulations to the brothers of Batavia Lodge, but remember, don’t get too comfortable with this. We will be back.

WB Thor and his band of traveling Lightening Bolt casters once again took the Traveling Gavel home., Thanks to all the brothers who assisted in this endeavor. "By George, we've done it again" he says in his best imitation of Mr. McGoo.

It is the Traveling Gavel, and yes, J. B Covert has won the rights to it once again. I want to express my gratitude to all the brothers who took time from their busy schedules to ensure that J. B Covert retained the rights for a few more days. The pressure is on, and those who want to take it from us are hot on our heels. The next inspection is this coming Thursday at the New Harmony Lodge. J.B. Covert Brothers, if you can please attend and help keep the Gavel in our possession. I hope to see you on Thursday.
