Table of Hope

Table of Hope Table of Hope is dedicated to serving our neighbors out of the abundance of our daily bread. Table of Hope exists to love our neighbors.

We aim to understand needs, provide nutritious food in a safe and welcoming environment, value each individual while encouraging and embracing all those in need. Table of Hope was created in 2020 amid the chaos of the then-impending pandemic. We saw a need in our community that would require our team of growing volunteers to be proactive in preparing for what we now know is a long-term issue; food

insecurity and a need for life skills education. We did not want to just offer a quick fix or bandaid, we wanted to offer life-long solutions to our neighbors in need. We strive to make this a reality by providing a weekly Free Market for food and needs, access to the community garden with the opportunity to learn how to plant, grow, harvest & cook from the work of their own hands, free books for all ages, easy low-cost recipes & a genuine welcome to anyone who shows up. We have a team of 30+ volunteers who all play a critical role in feeding up to 500 people a week.

Do you guys know our friends over at Longbottom Bird Rescue?!? Jimmy Longbottom has been a friend of Table of Hope for several years and has been such a support for us in making sure our girls (don’t tell them that they are chickens!) have been well cared for. We would love if you could show up and support them! It’s a great time! Even sharing this post is a huge help!

🦆🚨DUCK-A-PALOOZA 2!🚨🦆

We’re only a couple of weeks away from Cincinnati’s only annual domestic waterfowl extravaganza… DUCK-A-PALOOZA!

Join us on September 6th down at Washington Park to celebrate domestic waterfowl, meet some birds, buy a new T-shirt and raise some awareness!

This year Adam (MICRO BLIMPS ) has created 3 unique designs for us. All of these designs do a great job of capturing the spirit of our rescued birds. Best of all, the proceeds from all sales go directly towards the rescue, rehabilitation and care of domestic waterfowl!

Come down to pick up a shirt, meet some birds, play games, win a raffle and do some good! ❤️🦆 See you there!

Hello to our Table community, I know that many of you have been asking if everything is okay because it has become obvious to those of you who have become friends to us over the past five years that’s something is wrong and that things are not okay. I am sorry to have to share this news with you.
My precious husband and Table co-founder, Brian was diagnosed with stage three throat cancer (Oropharyngeal cancer) last Sunday. It came without warning and as a complete shock as cancer often does.
He is facing at least eight weeks of as the oncologist put it “brutal and ugly treatment” it will be five days a week radiation along with chemotherapy simultaneously, he will have a feeding tube as he will lose the ability to swallow (temporarily, hopefully 🙏) due to the targeted radiation to his throat. Our main prayer right now is that he will be accepted to UC cancer center. There is nothing tangible that we need at this very moment, except prayer. We know we serve a big God, and stand on solid ground but we are also terrified and feeling shaken. We covet your prayers as we find our footing on this journey.

We know that there will need to be some changes made to Table but are not exactly sure what those changes will be at this point.
We will keep you updated as we go.

Table of Hope
