Friday Night Concerts return tonight from 6–8 pm in Chico City Plaza, and we’re kicking off the season with local fan favorite Off the Record.

This is the Friday night feeling we’ve all been waiting for:

Lawn chairs in the plaza.
Dinner downtown.
Kids dancing up front.
Friends finding friends.
Storefronts open.
The beer garden flowing.
Live music carrying through the heart of Chico.

And this year, we’re making it even better with our Friday Night Food Feature.

Tonight’s feature is Pita Pit, serving dinner right in the plaza. Grab dinner from Pita Pit during the concert and get your first beer free from the beer garden. 🍻

The beer garden will feature Sierra Nevada Feather Falls Brewing Company , and The Long Drink , with non-alcoholic options available too.

We’ll also have reusable picnic quilts available for $20, so you can get cozy, claim your spot, and support the Downtown Chico Business Association while you’re at it.

Friday Night Concerts are almost back, Chico! 🎶

This Friday, we’re kicking off one of downtown’s most beloved traditions with a fan favorite: Off The Record

You know the scene.

Families rolling in with lawn chairs.
Kids dancing in the plaza.
Friends finding each other near the beer garden.
Music carrying through downtown as the weekend begins.
Storefronts lit up, restaurants buzzing, and local vendors adding even more life to the plaza.

That’s Friday Night Concerts.

And this year, we’re adding something new to the mix: the Friday Night Food Feature, created to bring even more love, foot traffic, and Friday night energy to our downtown restaurants.

Each week, we’ll spotlight a different downtown restaurant and invite concertgoers to grab dinner from them in the plaza during the show.

We’re starting strong with Pita Pit! Grab a featured meal during the concert, and receive your first beer free (21+ in the Beer Garden).

More details are coming, but the goal is simple: keep people downtown longer, encourage folks to visit our brick-and-mortars, and make those summer Friday nights feel even more alive for the businesses and neighbors that make Downtown Chico what it is.

Tonight during the Thursday Night Market, we’re turning the Downtown Chico Plaza into a dance floor! 🎧✨

Join us from 6–9 pm for Downtown Chico’s first all-women DJ Silent Disco, presented by The Breakbeat.

Rent a set of headphones, choose your channel, and dance in the plaza or take the music with you while you explore the market. DJs Modelody, Amayita®, DJ Pezzy, and rotating special guests will be switching off throughout the night, with moments where two DJs may be playing at once on different channels.
