Our Vision:
-To use locally grown and processed, gathered and shorn fibers and dyestuffs to create and color fabrics
-To build a local resource registry that includes people and companies that are connected to the Chico Cloth creation
-To suggest through its creation, that local sustainable economics is viable
-To put our area on the map as a source for a unique fabric

-Create a network among interested parties to keep information current to all Formats could include a directory, face book page, blog, fairs or a website
-Choose fabrics that the community can buy into, perhaps through voting and/or having various fiber content
How You Can Get Involved
-Lend land to grow the flax plants.
-Plant, tend and harvest flax plants
-Make tools to process the fibers from the stalks. Tools include: for rippling, threshing, breaking, scutching, and a variety of combs.
-Using the tools to process the fibers
-Lending time in your barns or warehouses for the processing of the flax
-Learning how to spin and help spin fibers into thread
-Learn to weave
-Use the cloth!
-Become an expert in any of these areas of Chico Cloth and teach others
- Help create and maintain directories and social media.
