Congratulations to Terether in receiving a Blessons for Women Scholarship Award!!! We wish her all the luck as she continues her professional journey in Nursing.

“In my effort to manage my financial situation, I turned to payday loans with high interest rates, which ultimately increased my financial burden. I also created a GoFundMe campaign in hopes of receiving support, but unfortunately, I was unable to secure the funds needed to continue my education. As a result, my academic progress was put on hold despite my determination to complete my degree.

Currently, I work in an underserved community, which has strengthened my passion for giving back. After completing my education, I plan to serve similar communities by providing health education, connecting individuals to essential resources, and supporting access to housing and employment opportunities. With the support of Blessons for Women, I will be able to overcome these financial barriers, complete my education, and make a meaningful impact in the communities that need it most.” - Terether Austin

Congratulations to Rosie in receiving a Blessons for Women Scholarship Award!!! We wish her all the luck as she continues her professional journey in Aesthetics Nursing.

“While I am proud of how far I have come, I also know that there is still so much to learn. Aesthetics is a rapidly evolving field that requires constant training, certifications, and continuing education. These courses are costly, and as a mother of four, every major expense must be planned carefully and thoughtfully. Although I am now working in aesthetics, I am aware that to truly excel—to provide the safest, most effective, and most ethical care—I must invest in proper training. This scholarship would remove one of the largest barriers standing between me and the advanced education I need to grow.

Returning to school as an adult student has been both empowering and humbling. I am not the same woman who once had to put her dreams on hold to prioritize her family. Today, I am someone who understands life’s challenges deeply and who is committed to showing my children that growth is always possible, no matter how long something has been delayed. I want them to see that their mother not only supported her family but also pursued her own dreams with passion and resilience.” - Rosie Martinez

Congratulations to Marisol in receiving a Blessons for Women Scholarship Award!!! We wish her all the luck as she continues her professional journey in Aesthetics.

“As the daughter of immigrant parents, I learned early the meaning of sacrifice, perseverance, and hard work. My parents came to this country with little more than hope and determination, and their dream was simple—to give their children opportunities they never had. Their courage and resilience shaped me into the woman I am today: a first-generation college graduate, a registered nurse of fifteen years, a mother, and a lifelong learner.
My journey in education and nursing has been far from easy.

I became a mother as a teenager, and from that moment forward, I had to grow up quickly. Balancing school, work, and raising a child meant my education often had to take the slow and steady path. There were semesters I could only take one class at a time, and others when I had to pause entirely to support my family. Still, I never gave up on my dream of becoming a nurse and, later, a healthcare leader. Those experiences taught me determination, time management, and compassion—qualities that have defined my professional and personal growth.” - Marisol Leal

Congratulations to Danielle in receiving a Blessons for Women Scholarship Award!!! We wish her all the luck as she continues her professional journey in Welding Technology.

“My pursuit of Welding Technology is about more than financial opportunity—it is about purpose, independence, and rebuilding a strong foundation through a skilled trade that is in high demand.

Completing a Welding Technology certification program will provide hands-on training in areas such as structural welding, fabrication, blueprint reading, metallurgy, cutting techniques, and safety compliance. With this training, I plan to enter the workforce in fields such as construction, manufacturing, and industrial welding, with long-term goals to specialize in areas such as TIG welding, pipe welding, and advanced fabrication.

Ultimately, I plan to continue earning additional certifications through the American Welding Society (AWS) and eventually open my own welding business that offers custom fabrication and contract industrial work. This new career path represents an opportunity to build financial stability while working in a field where hard work and skill directly translate into advancement.” - Danielle

Congratulations to Victoria in receiving a Blessons for Women Scholarship Award!!! We wish her all the luck as she continues her professional journey in completing the Medical Surgical Nursing Program.

“I was gainfully employed at 25 years old when my mom was diagnosed with appendix cancer and fought 6 years before she passed. While my mom was fighting, my dad passed unexpectedly from a heart attack. I went through a deep depression for years and didn’t want to exist anymore.

I read a book about undoing depression and thought I would give myself one year to find my happiness or else. I got engaged, moved to Memphis, decided to pivot my life in such a way that I could be of service to others and Nursing was that missing piece for me.

It has transformed my life into one full of understanding and possibility and I am so happy I gave myself the grace to invest in myself.” - Victoria

Please share our scholarship program to a woman you know in skilled trades!

Congratulations to Ariana in receiving a Blessons for Women Scholarship Award!!! We wish her all the luck as she continues her professional journey in completing the Social Worker Program and all the certifications.

“I want more than anything to make a difference. Through this work, I was lucky enough to meet a social worker who cares deeply about making a difference. She has profoundly impacted my life. I finally figured it out. A position in social work was for me, where I was meant to be. In taking classes aimed towards my future, I have found my strengths. Including my empathy skills. The ability to put myself in someone else’s position and fight for them.

My reliability is how I show up for people when they need me in times of crisis and happiness. I have also learned my weakness. Including leadership skills and how I sometimes struggle to lead because of a fear of failure. I assume a significant workload that sometimes overwhelms me because I am eager to help as many people as possible. Much of my previous career was spent working with older adults. Providing care, securing resources, and providing support in times of need. I find the field of geriatrics rewarding, close to my heart, and
extremely important for society.

I work within a foster care organization under DCFS, which has drawn me to a potential permanent career in the social work field. I provide positive support for
children in care, reconnect families, and find placement options.” - Ariana Baaske
