Member of the Month 💚🩷
Please join us in recognizing Kymeish Gaston as our Member of the Month.
Kymeish was initiated into Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® through Lambda Mu Omega Chapter in 2017. As the first in her family to graduate from college, earn a postgraduate degree, and become a member of a Black Greek Letter organization, she is inspired daily by Alpha Kappa Alpha’s mission to study and help alleviate problems for girls and women in order to improve their social stature. She is passionate about serving as an example and mentor for young women who are determined to break barriers and redefine success.
Kymeish currently serves as Chair of the Sisterly Relations and Strengthen Our Sisterhood Committees. She previously served as Chair of the Global Impact Committee and as a member of the Technology Team. In addition, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Leadership Mentoring Opportunities Foundation as Chair of the Community Service Committee and as the Foundation’s Recording Secretary.
Professionally, Kymeish earned a Bachelor of Science in Human and Family Resources from Northern Illinois University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. She has built a successful career with IKEA USA, where she has spent more than 25 years leading dynamic teams and driving sales development in a high-volume retail environment.
Beyond her professional and sorority service, Kymeish is a charter member of the award-winning Will County Black Diamond Chapter of Top Ladies of Distinction, Incorporated, where she has served in numerous leadership roles at the chapter, area, and national levels. Her dedication to service reflects her belief that every act of giving, whether through leadership, volunteerism, or community outreach, helps create meaningful change both locally and globally.
Kymeish’s unwavering commitment to leadership, mentorship, and service continues to strengthen our sisterhood while making a lasting impact throughout the communities she serves.
