Thank you so much to Veronica Beard, Fifth Third Bank, Facing Forward Board Member Christina Macumber, Mihra Seta, and Snjezana Sego for hosting another wonderful event! Last week, Veronica Beard partnered with us for another successful fundraiser where a portion of all sales went to Facing Forward. Partnerships like this are so important, and enable us to continue offering hope, help, and housing. We are so grateful for this partnership and for everyone who came out!

This morning, Facing Forward accepted an incredibly generous donation from our longtime partners, the Chicago Wolves, as part of their Season of Giving press conference. Photographed here and representing Facing Forward are Director of Development Melissa Anson and Board Member Christina Macumber, along with Chicago Wolves President of Operations Courtney Mahoney (center).

This gift enables us to provide housing to 4 families for an entire year! We are thrilled and so grateful for this lifechanging donation, and even more grateful for the nearly 20 years of impactful partnership between our two organizations.

The Wolves’ generosity and support is a wonderful example of what it looks like to support your community and neighbors consistently, thoughtfully, and with enthusiasm. Between annual donations, holiday gift drives, and board membership, the Wolves always show up for us. Their support is felt at Facing Forward every day that we are able to continue offering our services and support. Facing Forward knows that even in uncertain times we can rely on the Wolves, and the value of that stability cannot be overstated.

Thank you from everyone at Facing Forward, and best of luck to the Wolves in their upcoming season! We are really looking forward to cheering the team on again this year, just as they cheer us on in our work!

Happy first week back, Chicago students! 📚✂️🚌🖍️

Earlier this month, Facing Forward celebrated its annual Back to School event with clients. Thanks to our generous community partners, scholars received backpacks, school supplies, and other essentials to start the year feeling confident and prepared. Last Saturday, Facing Forward had another successful Family Day event!
Each summer, we invite the clients we serve and their families to join us for a special celebration in honor of another year on their journeys to stability. Guest speaker Mr. Mattox, from The Greater West Town Community Development Project, stopped by to speak to our clients about GED programs and secondary education for adults through CPS. This year’s Family Day also featured tie-dye, face painting, games, and even a bouncy house. Thanks to the good company who made the day special!
