Exciting things are happening at The Boulevard of Chicago and we celebrated by hosting an open house last month! Those who joined us were able to learn more about the work we do at The Boulevard, meet key staff members, and tour our Medical Respite facility.

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to spend time learning about our mission and how we plan to expand that mission over the next few years. Our community is what keeps The Boulevard of Chicago strong!

Last weekend, The Boulevard of Chicago welcomed back a great group from First Illinois Chapter HFMA for another morning of volunteering. The crew spent time tending to our garden before joining Medical Respite residents for a couple rounds of Bingo.

We're grateful to be able to connect with volunteer groups like FIHFMA, and we appreciate all their hard work both in our garden and in the connections they made with our Medical Respite residents. Slide to the last pic to check out all the yummy veggies the group harvested for our kitchen!

Last Friday The Boulevard of Chicago staff gathered at Rate Field to cheer on the Chicago White Sox as they took on the Detroit Tigers!⚾💚

While our Chicago team didn't get the outcome they wanted, the real win was getting to spend time together outside of the office. Staff enjoyed good food, baseball, and plenty of laughs while strengthening the connections that make our team so special.

We’re grateful for opportunities like this to come together, recharge, and celebrate the people behind The Boulevard’s work every day.

The Boulevard of Chicago's Board of Directors gathered last week for a retreat focused on reflection, collaboration and looking toward the future.

The retreat was an opportunity to check in on our progress, discuss our strategic plan, and hear updates from our Board committees.

We’re grateful for the time, expertise, and commitment our Board brings to The Boulevard. Their leadership helps us continue strengthening our work and building toward a future where more people experiencing homelessness can find healing, stability, and a path forward.

The Boulevard of Chicago is looking for community, corporate, faith-based, and other volunteer groups to participate in our Share-A-Meal program!

Share-A-Meal is a simple but meaningful way to support our Medical Respite residents! Beyond providing a nourishing meal, your group is helping create a sense of community, connection, and care for people on their journey toward healing and stability.

Sharing more photos from our volunteer group last week! Thank you again to Jasculca Terman Strategic Communications for a morning of volunteering alongside our Medical Respite residents in our garden.

Our residents also had a blast at the ice cream social and several rounds of bingo that followed the hard work in the garden! Thanks so much to our volunteers from Jasculca Terman for coming out last week. We always enjoy welcoming volunteer groups into our gardens, and our clients had a wonderful time playing Bingo with everyone.

The Boulevard is grateful for the partnership with JT and all they do to support our work!

The JT team rolled up our sleeves last week for a JT Gives Back Day at The Boulevard of Chicago!

The Boulevard helps individuals experiencing homelessness in Chicago access medical care, housing, and supportive services to help them heal, stabilize, and rebuild their lives. We spent the morning outside helping spruce up their garden, from weeding to harvesting fresh fruits and veggies. 🌱 We also had the chance to connect with residents during a few spirited rounds of bingo, which was the highlight of the day!

It was a perfect way to spend a summer morning together while supporting the important work of our Chicago neighbors. 💚 Thank you to The Boulevard for having us!

Earlier this month The Boulevard of Chicago's Leadership Team gathered for a half-day retreat dedicated to planning the year ahead.

The retreat provided an opportunity to dive deeper into our strategic plan, Expanding Medical Respite, Strengthening Systems, and translate that vision to practice. Together, our leaders set priorities to ensure we can better support staff, strengthen our programs, and continue providing high-quality care to those we serve.

A huge thank you to Collaborative Bridges for generously hosting our retreat. Collaborative Bridges brings together West Side Chicago safety-net hospitals and community mental health agencies to support people experiencing mental health and substance use challenges. Partnerships like these make our work possible!
