Hot August, hotter art!
WPB First Fridays is back on August 7th, and we’ve got soooo much going on:
👾 The Flat Iron Arts Building will be opening its doors from 6-9 PM! Check out the Analog Arcade by T2D2 Toys, as featured at Wicker Park Fest, along with your favorite studios and guest exhibitors, like Screams Everything Studio, Wondergem Studio, Phil Circle Music, and so much more!
🧣 Little Broken Things will be hosting new exhibiting artist, toolboxEarth, at their salon! Check out the original handwoven wall hangings created using all repurposed/recycled materials!
❓ Stop by CSI Project Space’s Opening Reception for their newest exhibition, Whispers from the Unfamiliar! From 6-9 PM, explore relationships with the unknown!
📱 Also be sure to check out Flatline Gallery for their Opening Reception of their new exhibition, iPhone Face! Explore the identity of the flesh transformed into digital bodies, and reversibly, the flatness of images applied to the human experience.
🪢 Head to Heaven Gallery to experience their newest exhibition: Knots. Knots brings together artists who use tying, looping, weaving, binding, and repetition as both material process and metaphor.
🪵 Check out Tom Robinson’s wide array of works, including paintings, woodcuts, furniture, and more! This month, he’s featuring little sculptures!
✍️ SoNa Chicago will be open for their last weekend of their current exhibition, Studio Sessions! The exhibition offers visitors a deeper understanding of artistic process, material experimentation, and the evolving nature of a practice.
🕯️Creative clubhouse Last Place on Earth features their newest exhibition: “Outerbody”, on display until September 19th! And while you're there, be sure to sign up for their Cake Candle Workshop the next day, August 8th, from 3 - 5 PM!
