On October 8th, Yor Yak Sushi & Thai officially joined our community, at their brand new location at 2431 N Western Ave!

Yor-Yak Sushi & Thai specializes in modern Japanese & Thai cuisine, led and operated by experienced chefs with nearly 20 years of experience in sushi and authentic Thai cuisine. They are passionate about fresh ingredients, quality, and carefully prepared dishes. Their philosophy is a delicate balance of Thai spice and Japanese precision, where every bite tells a story of heritage and innovation.

Wicker Park Bucktown Special Service Area #33’s Legacy Business Recognition Program highlights businesses that have been serving the Wicker Park Bucktown community for 15 years and more! Storefront windows all over the neighborhood proudly display orange window clings identifying each of these legacy businesses and recognizing their service. This month, we’re talking about The Handlebar!

The Handlebar has been serving up food, booze and good times at 2311 W. North Ave. in Wicker Park since 2003. They serve made-from-scratch vegetarian and vegan comfort food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days a week. They are a small, casual neighborhood restaurant with a full-service bar and b**r garden. Handlebar recycles, brews fair-trade coffee, serves all organic eggs, and sources produce from local farms.

The Handlebar has an open patio and cozy dining room, open Monday-Friday from 10AM-12AM and on Saturday and Sunday from 9AM-12AM. They do not take reservations, but you can give them a call at (773) 384-9546 to learn more!

Thank you to everyone who came out to stroll, shop, dine and spend Sunday with us, and to our neighborhood businesses who helped bring Meet Me on Milwaukee to life. 💛
