Donations for the Compassion In Action Committee’s June First Wednesday Food Drive (FWFD) will be accepted through tomorrow, June 3rd. This ongoing effort supports , helping provide food and essential services to neighbors in need.

Donations can be dropped off at participating neighborhood porches, making it easy to give back. Thanks to your generosity, our donations help Common Pantry serve more than 1,000 households each month - and with recent changes to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), that number will continue to grow.

What to donate?

Common Pantry is creating new shelf space to better meet their clients dietary needs and preferences. With a growing number of gluten-free clients, there currently aren’t enough gluten-free items on the shelves to meet the demand. These items can be difficult to find, making your donation especially impactful.

Let’s come together to keep the shelves stocked with gluten-free foods and make a lasting difference in our community.

Additional Items Always in Need:

Food & Pantry Staples: Sugar, flour, cooking and olive oil, ground coffee, cereal (whole grain, low sugar), canned fruit, jarred spaghetti sauce (low sodium), whole wheat dry pasta, whole grain crackers, soup, whole grain rice, easy-prep meals (like Hamburger Helper – low sodium or whole grain, if possible), peanut butter, and jelly/jam

Non-Food Essentials: Cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, and zip-lock bags.

Personal Care Items (High Demand): adult diapers and baby wipes, as they are two of the most requested non-food items. Also needed are baby diapers (all sizes), full-sized bottles of shampoo, shaving cream, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouthwash, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, baby diapers, and toilet paper.

Drop-off porch locations: You may drop off your items on the front porch of one of the locations below. The CIA committee will arrange to bring the items to Common Pantry.
