When to Seek Professional Help for Stress

How do you know when what you are feeling is everyday stress, and when it may be time to talk to someone?

If you find that you cannot work through the problems on your own, the same negative patterns keep repeating, or stress begins affecting your relationships with your children, partner, yourself, or others at work, it may be a sign to seek support.

Other signs can include difficulty sleeping for more than two weeks, eating more or less than usual, or noticing that important relationships are beginning to deteriorate.

You do not have to wait until things become overwhelming. Speaking with a mental health professional can offer guidance, perspective, and support. Sometimes, even one session can be helpful.

🎥 In this clip from the Realno Podcast, Dr. Sonila Sejdaras discusses when everyday stress may be telling us it is time to seek professional help.

To every working mom who feels like she’s not enough… ❤️

Balancing work, children, responsibilities, and your own needs can feel incredibly lonely, especially when you reach out for support and your experience is dismissed or compared to someone else’s.

But someone else’s narrative does not have to become your own.

Being a good mom is not about doing everything perfectly. It is also about how you speak to yourself when you feel stretched thin. Self-compassion goes deeper than taking a break or practicing self-care. It means challenging that inner voice that says, “I’m not doing enough.”

You are showing up. You are trying. You are loving your children. And you deserve the same compassion you give so freely to everyone else.

🎥 A reminder from Dr. Sonila Sejdaras for every working mom who needs to hear this today.

Success on the outside does not always mean calm on the inside.

Many high-performing professionals are known for being driven, dependable, and capable, yet quietly struggle with chronic stress, anxiety, and even panic attacks.

Perfectionism, constant responsibility, and the pressure to always stay one step ahead can keep the nervous system working overtime. Eventually, the body may begin signaling that something needs to change.

In our latest blog, we explore why anxiety and panic can affect even the most successful professionals, what these symptoms may be trying to tell us, and how therapy can help create a healthier relationship with achievement, stress, and well-being.

You can be ambitious without sacrificing your peace.

Breakups can make it feel like your entire world is falling apart, but sometimes the anxiety we experience in relationships is connected to something deeper: our attachment patterns. ❤️

Understanding whether you lean toward a secure, anxious, dismissive-avoidant, or fearful-avoidant attachment style can help you understand how you seek closeness, respond to distance, and navigate conflict.

Attachment styles are not permanent labels. By understanding these patterns, we can replace blame with curiosity, recognize unmet needs, and work toward healthier, more secure relationships.
