It is an honor to have such an influential man like Leon Rose from our community. We are so proud of all his hard work with the Knicks and their NBA Championship victory.
The Rose family has given so much to this community. In 2024, the Katz JCC renamed its basketball court for the family, now known as the Rose Family Court. Leon’s father, Zev Rose, was the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey's longtime solicitor and a "legend" in our community. This victory for the Rose family is so well deserved.
Rooting for the Knicks in South Jersey is a "touchy subject," as COO Rob Kiewe said, but “Everybody loves Leon” and, "He’s a mensch. He is the true embodiment of a mensch.”
Rose, the Knicks' Jewish team president, has been honored by a number of Jewish organizations.
