Today, we honor Juneteenth, commemorating the end of slavery in the United States and celebrating the enduring pursuit of freedom and justice.

As a Jewish community, we are reminded that the pursuit of justice, dignity, and equality for all remains our shared responsibility.

It is an honor to have such an influential man like Leon Rose from our community. We are so proud of all his hard work with the Knicks and their NBA Championship victory.

The Rose family has given so much to this community. In 2024, the Katz JCC renamed its basketball court for the family, now known as the Rose Family Court. Leon’s father, Zev Rose, was the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey's longtime solicitor and a "legend" in our community. This victory for the Rose family is so well deserved.

Rooting for the Knicks in South Jersey is a "touchy subject," as COO Rob Kiewe said, but “Everybody loves Leon” and, "He’s a mensch. He is the true embodiment of a mensch.”

Rose, the Knicks' Jewish team president, has been honored by a number of Jewish organizations.

Staying at home and aging in place shouldn’t mean compromising safety.

Meet Jessie McCarty, our Occupational Therapist, who will come directly to your home to assess and recommend ways to make it safe, comfortable, and suitable for living longer.

Through a grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, we are helping older adults that qualify make necessary home modifications to age in place with dignity and peace of mind.

Learn how our Older Adult Home Modification Program fits into the wider Federation system of care for older adults.

Check out the eligibility requirements on our webpage to see if you qualify.

As we prepare to wrap up this school year, we are so happy to share that our Sari Isdaner Early Childhood Center At The Katz JCC students raised $525 in tzedakah! The school has decided to donate this tzedakah to the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey’s PJ Library Endowment Fund. This was matched by Jodi and Neil Levine and the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, resulting in a total gift of $918.75! We are so proud of our students and so grateful to our philanthropic partners.
