The Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey cares for those in need, enhances Jewish life and ensures the continuity of a vibrant Jewish community locally, in Israel and around the world. Federation supports a wide range of programs and services - some provided by agencies that it owns and operates, others by area synagogues, religious schools and other institutions. Through funding of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee and a partnership with the Jewish Agency for Israel, Federation also assists Jewish people in Israel and over 70 countries worldwide.

The Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey (JFSNJ)’s Global Connections Area of Impact allocates money to help various programs and services spanning across 70 countries overseas. Included in the programs and services funded is the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI)’s Alma Pre-Army Academy, which builds young women’s confidence, resilience and leadership skills through immersive learning, community service, and shared challenges in Israel. JFSNJ is now offering Home Safety Assessments to help community members identify potential safety risks and improve the comfort, accessibility, and overall functionality of their homes.

For a fee, our licensed Occupational Therapist will conduct a comprehensive in-home assessment, provide a detailed written report, and offer personalized recommendations for modifications to help support safety, independence, and quality of life.
