October 10 is World Mental Health Day. The American Academy of Pediatrics says "Mental and behavioral health is the largest unmet health need for children and teens in foster care. Mental and behavioral health requires the presence of at least 1 nurturing, responsive caregiver who is stable in the child’s or teen’s life over time."
Foster parents, the care you provide each day matters. Thank you for helping meet the needs of foster youth.

Our local office, recently received this message of gratitude from a family served through a FosterCare package. Our local offices provide tangible needs for foster and kinship families who have opened their homes, and we couldn't be more inspired by what they do for families each and every day!🤍

This month our support groups are highlighting the importance of community and support. We can't do this work alone, and it's okay to ask for help. And asking for help is a beautiful opportunity to let others make an impact in the world of foster, adoptive and kinship care.

The school year is underway, and we know that sometimes school brings questions, concerns, and challenges too. You don't have to navigate this alone!
We’re excited to welcome Scott Rudolph of for a special deep-dive webinar titled, "From Concern to Action: How to Advocate for Your Child at School."
Together, we’ll talk about practical ways to:
• Prepare for school meetings
• Document concerns and keep good records
• Ask for the right support
• Communicate with school teams
• Follow up when things aren’t moving forward
• Navigate challenges with practical, real-life examples
