So much to love about this email after a Foster Care Package delivery the other day...

but what I love the most, is that after 2 years of not fostering, they stepped back in and we were still here to support💜

So much of foster care is hard, heavy, and filled with uncertainty. So when families we’ve walked alongside for years finally receive an adoption date for the children who have been in their homes for two or three years, we celebrate.

Next month, five families will adopt nine children who have been part of their families through foster care. We know adoption is a complex and deeply personal journey, but we also believe there is room to celebrate the love, commitment, and permanency these families have worked and waited for.

We’re so grateful to have walked alongside these families, and we can’t wait to celebrate with them as they take this next step toward forever!

Looking for a way for your group, church, workplace, or community to get involved with Foster the Family? It might not look like the group project you had in mind but there are so many other ways to support the families we serve!

These families got together to host a c***r stand, and their generosity is making a difference for Foster the Family! What a fantastic and yummy idea!

Sometimes getting involved is simply using what you already have, gathering people together, and finding a way to give back. We'd love to see what your group comes up with!

Another amazing Fall Fest with Bethel Church in the books! Our amazing volunteers hosted a fabulous Trunk or Treat and we so loved seeing so many of our families!

130 FAMILIES. And counting...

We have more than 130 foster, adoptive, and kinship families signed up for Making Memories Bright—the most families we’ve ever had for one of our holiday events!

And now we need your help making sure we can create a special holiday guft experience for every one of them. You don’t have to organize a collection. You don’t have to buy everything on the list. Just pick a few things.

A blanket.
A few light-up necklaces.
A Dunkin, Starbucks, or WaWa gift card.
A Visa gift card toward holiday lights drive thru
A family game.
A few holiday fun fidgets

If you’re someone who looks for a way to give back during the holidays, this is a simple way to make a very real impact right here in our community!

Want to help? Here’s how:

--Choose a few items from our wish list.
--Ship them to us or drop them off at our office.
--All collections are due December 3rd.
--Share this post with a friend who might want to make a difference, too!

A lunch date where you can talk uninterrupted...

A shopping trip where you can wander and not worry.....

An uninterrupted nap or shower or time to clean up without more messes...

A block of time where my nervous system can relax a little....

Rest, recharge, reset, re-energize.....

These are some of the words and statements we hear from our caregivers who use our Kids Day Out program. We design our program to serve our single foster and adoptive parents, families who need a time of rest, and those who have very limited outside support and help. Thank you for supporting this program that is serving caregivers so well!

And I mean, come on- look at those cuties and how much fun they're having! Legos, outdoor play, lunch from McDonalds- it's a win for everyone! 🥰

As we wrapped up summer and entered into fall, we continued to serve and support foster and adoptive families, in many ways! Thank you for supporting us to make this possible and thank you for letting us support you!

We are looking forward to cooler weather and more families supported!
