Congregation Kol Ami We are a dynamic, inclusive and nurturing community and find holiness in being fully present for one another through life's ordinary and extraordinary moments.

We are a dynamic, inclusive and nurturing Reform Jewish community and find holiness in being fully present for one another through life's ordinary and extraordinary moments. We seek to find bold purpose and deep connections through the creative exploration of avodah (prayer), talmud Torah (Torah learning), tikkun olam (repairing/healing the world), and acts of g'milut chasadim (loving kindness). The wisdom of our Jewish tradition empowers us to re-imagine our lives, inspiring personal growth and encouraging a deeper understanding of who we are as individuals and as a congregational family. We are truly stronger together.

We commemorate the third anniversary of the massacre of October 7, 2023—the date on which Israel was invaded and its people were brutally attacked and kidnapped. We mourn the deaths. We grieve with the traumatized, and we hold in our hearts our family in friends in Israel and the MARAM rabbis caring for their communities.

We honor the memory of all who were lost, all whose injuries—inside and out—have yet to heal, and all who have suffered so grievously the horrors of war so that all who dwell in this sacred land can live their lives in dignity, freedom, safety, and in peace.

As Rabbi Jeffrey Salkin attests, for Jews in Israel and around the world, October 7 changed us, and so we try together to make sense of this difficult new world as we pray for lasting peace.

We will be discussing Little Bird by Barbara Viniar. In 1910, fearing escalating violence against the Jews in Russia, Feige’s father arranges for her to marry a wealthy cousin in New York City. Little Bird is the story of a girl who finds the courage to forge her own path to womanhood. All are welcome.
