We’ve been a little quiet these past few days.
We’ve been feeling like showing you our beautiful dogs, day after day, and asking for help, isn’t making any difference anymore.
Honestly, we’ve been feeling a little alone.
Dogs who are perfect, like Pria, with zero applications.
Dogs who are hilariously sweet, like Emma, with zero applications.
Dogs who are fragile and sensitive and just looking for a chance, like Rabble, sitting in boarding and waiting, with zero applications.
And that’s just a few.
The list is much longer.
Every morning, we open our page and find 100+ tags. Dogs in urgent situations. Dogs running out of time. Dogs who need someone to say yes.
And then we look at our foster and adoption applications.
Zero.
For the past 15 months, we have used every resource we had to save time-stamped dogs. It was a risky choice. We knew it. And we don’t regret it for one second.
Most of the dogs we pulled have been adopted. Others are still waiting.
And every one of them has something special about them. Maybe they love kids but cannot live with cats. Maybe they adore people but cannot live with other dogs. Maybe they are confident and silly. Maybe they are scared and need more patience.
They don’t need to be perfect.
They just need someone willing to see them.
So if you are one of the people who tags us asking us to save another dog, please help us make that possible.
Share our foster application. Share our adoption application. Send it to someone. Ask a friend.
The best way to help us reopen intake is to help us find homes for the dogs we have already saved.
We want to keep saying yes.
We just need people to say yes with us. 🤍
