We Need Festival Partners! 👊🌈

When people in the Chelan Valley come together for our Pride Festival, it's not just a celebration, it's a shared commitment. Having a full festival area of diverse vendors shows the local Q***r community that there are businesses, organizations, and individuals in this area who truly care and stand with us.

If you are an ally, please don’t feel like you are overstepping! We view Pride as diverse groups standing up for marginalized groups. When our supportive local partners opt in to vend, it helps us build a powerful, visible, and protected space.

You are not an imposter; you are a vital partner who has been with us in the trenches, some of you since our very first festival!

BUILDING A LEGACY FOR THE CHELAN VALLEY 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

Being a Pride organization in a small valley isn’t always easy, and being LGBTQIA+ in a small town almost never is.

But that’s exactly why we’re here. We’re looking for people who aren't afraid to do the hard work of building
community in the places that need it most.

THE REALITY:

Right now, Chelan Pride is at a crossroads. Due to health, family, and career moves, we’ve seen some of our dedicated members step away. Because we are currently stretched thin, we’ve had to make the disappointing decision to cancel our participation at the Earth Day Fair this weekend. 💔 It’s a loss we feel deeply, but it has reinforced our goal: we must grow so we can always show up for our community.

THE FUTURE:

We are doing the groundwork to ensure this organization remains a permanent lighthouse for those who need it. Our core leadership team of three is currently doing the work to transition us to a staffed non-profit model. With the guidance of a professional board consultant, we are working to ensure the legacy of Chelan Pride lasts for generations to come.

JOIN THE FOUNDATION:

We are looking for the final key pieces to complete this foundational board. If you are a motivated leader ready to help steer this transition, we need you for these specific roles:

• TREASURER
• FUNDRAISING LEAD / GRANT SUPPORT
• SECRETARY SUPPORT
• BOARD MEMBER AT LARGE

All positions have potential to grow into leadership roles.
