A follow up with an amazing THANK YOU to everyone who donated to the Stuff the Bus Food Drive in early August at Wheatland Bank! Branch manager, Becky McCracken, organized this event and was thrilled with an almost full bus with donations for Lake Chelan Food Bank! Donations came from locals and tourists visiting us. As our community has seen a very difficult summer, these donations go a LONG way. Thank you for your commitment to our community Wheatland Bank!

As we all mourn the loss of the legend, Dolly Parton-it makes us pause and reflect on how we choose to support each other. Dolly spent her entire career seeing everyone, judging no one and included all. In February 2018, Parton donated the 100 millionth book from her Imagination Library to the a Linrary of Congress. It was a copy of her book Coat of Many Colors dedicated to her father. We were so pleased to see that the Imagination Library is available for our community. Individuals Served: 1,415
Pounds of Food Distributed: 32,330
Food Purchased: $3,001.11
Volunteer Hours: 630 hours

Our local community has really stepped up during a rough month. We are so proud to provide beautiful local produce from local growers. Thank you to anyone who has contributed this month. Stay safe and hope to see some blue skies soon!

The Chelan Food Bank loves this time of year as the produce is plentiful! We need to acknowledge Chelan Safeway, Chelan Walmart and local farmers that donate produce to us. This morning we filled over 90 boxes for our local residents, and the need is great. Please see our before and after shots of the produce this morning!
