Bubble, bubble, toil and trouble! While walking over the Woodin Avenue Bridge this morning, CHS science teacher April Slagle noticed something on the water that does not belong in our lake.

If you have any leads on what may have caused this phenomenon, where it came from, or have seen something similar, please let us know!

The time has come! Restore the Shore III officially begins tomorrow morning at 9:30! You can either go directly to your preferred section of shoreline or meet the main group at the city marina parking lot between the drive in and the go-carts. For more detailed information and to sign up, please go to https://keepitbluelakechelan.org/restore-the-shore/

Restore the Shore is the Lake Chelan community shoreline cleanup and we would love to have you participate! We ask that people either log the trash themselves using the TrashBlitz app or drop the trash off at our office for us to log (601 W. Woodin Ave). This allows us to create a report of what trash is in the lake!

If you choose to drop off your trash, please use the bins provided.

High school students can get volunteer hours for participating in the cleanup and for helping to log trash in the days after the cleanup!

Pastries and refreshments will be available for participants in the Park Room at Campbell's Resort on Lake Chelan from 11:30-12:30. During this time, prizes will be awarded for:
- the most unique item
- the oldest item
- the most expensive item
- the largest item
You can either bring the item or take a picture of it to be eligible for the award.

Restore the Shore is a community effort that relies on volunteers like yourself to help pick up trash along the lakeshore when the water is low.

This year, we want to keep a record of all of the trash collected! In order to make this possible, we are using the TrashBlitz app which allows you to log the trash that you have collected. If you don’t want to log the trash yourself, please drop it off at our office (601 W. Woodin Ave) and we will log it for you!

You can sign up or show up! Signing up helps us keep track of how many volunteers we can expect.

Thank you to everyone who has signed up for Restore the Shore III so far! Restore the Shore is the annual beach/shoreline cleanup in Lake Chelan to remove trash when the water is low.

While you can either sign up or show up, signing up helps us to know where to best organize our additional volunteers. You can sign up by clicking “let us know you’re coming to help” at https://keepitbluelakechelan.org/restore-the-shore/

So far, no one has signed up for the following locations (these are starred on the map):
- ⭐️Mill Bay
- ⭐️The beach below the “Welcome to Manson” sign
- ⭐️Lakeside park to Woodin Ave
- ⭐️Minneapolis beach to 97A
- ⭐️Lake Chelan State Park

Please note that we encourage people to clean all sections of the lakeshore, not just those that we have marked out! If you would like to clean an unlisted area, please DM us the coordinates so we can make a note of it!
