🌱 The return of the sunshine means the return of our Horticulture and Home Science classes! ☀️

Last week, we got our container garden growing and made the most of our parking lot space. Container gardening helps make our garden more accessible—wheelchairs can easily navigate around the plants, containers can be moved as needed, and raised containers make gardening easier for everyone.
Our plants are thriving, and some are already producing fruit! 🍅🥒🍓 We’re growing tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries, peppers, lettuce, peas and more!

We can’t wait to see what we grow and learn about the different ways to use our crops in Home Science. What’s your favorite- pickled veggies or fruit jams?

We’re excited to partner with the Elma Conservation Club for a hands-on, modified Learn to Fish class! Club members will be hosting us and providing fishing poles, bait, and instruction while sharing their knowledge about wildlife conservation and protecting our environment. We’re looking forward to a fun and educational experience outdoors! 🎣 🐟☀️

Hand Sewing with Wendy was so much fun! 🧵✨ The monsters everyone created have been absolutely adorable, creative, and full of personality. We loved seeing everyone’s imagination come to life stitch by stitch! 👾💚 Thank you to everyone who joined us for such a fun and crafty time!

There’s still time to sign up for our Hand Sewing class on May 5th! 🧵✨ Instructor Wendy will walk you through the basics of hand sewing in a fun, beginner-friendly way. Then, put your new skills to use by creating your very own felt monster to take home!

This class is perfect for beginners and younger participants—no prior experience needed. It’s a great way to learn something new, get creative, and have a little fun along the way. Spots are limited, so be sure to sign up soon!
