Monday night at the track! Sprint crew and distance crew put in some work!

Yesterday was a great day! We had the chance to be part of the Charlotte Race Fest and connect with so many new people in the community. It was awesome sharing more about our track club and, even better, celebrating runners who showed up, pushed themselves, and got their bodies moving.

All in all, such a fun and rewarding experience, we’re already looking forward to the next one!

Last night was the Inaugural 1 mile, part of and had a great showing. We all finished in the top 46 out of 141 runners. Our teammate placed second in the women’s race! It’s not easy running on a Friday evening but we got it done!

Jimmy Gressier just missed the 5km world record – but still made history with a new European record 🏃‍♂️

The world 10,000m champion clocked 12:51 to win the Urban Trail de Lille, falling just two seconds shy of Berihu Aregawi’s 12:49 mark set in 2021.

Wow!!!!!!

62 years old. In the week of her mother’s funeral. On her father’s 94th birthday.

Clare Elms ran an inspiring 17:48 (17:45 chip time) 5km in Battersea this weekend — becoming the oldest woman in history to break 18 minutes for the distance.

She already held the world W60 record (18:15). She just smashed it by 20 seconds.

Her age grading? 104%. That means she ran faster than what would be expected of a peak-age elite.

She didn’t even start running seriously until her 40s.

Some people are just built different. 🏃‍♀️
