What a special night we had at our very first Village Farm Night at ! This evening was all about bringing our community together - caregivers, FVC supporters, new friends, and familiar faces, for a night of connection, fun, and celebration of the village that surrounds children and families experiencing foster care.

We are so grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make our first Village Farm Night so memorable. Thank you for showing up, sharing in the evening, and helping us continue building community beyond the system.

Let’s talk about funding! Did you know our Village Partner Community is made up of more than 125 monthly donors? These recurring gifts give us the consistency we need to plan for the future with greater confidence, vision, and sustainability.

In fact, more than 60% of our funding comes from individual supporters. Growing our Village Partner Community means building a reliable foundation we can lean on as we continue to grow and serve children and families experiencing foster care.

We talk a lot about Welcome Packs, but have you ever wondered what’s inside? When children enter foster care, they often arrive at a new home with little or none of their belongings. That’s where we come in. Our Welcome Packs provide essential items to help children feel cared for and prepared as they navigate a major transition.

Inside each pack, you’ll find new items tailored to the child’s age and needs, including:

-A week’s worth of clothing
-Hygiene products
-Toys and games
-Books
-Diapers
-Bottles
-Shoes
And more!

For children experiencing the uncertainty of foster care, staying connected to someone they already know and love can provide comfort, familiarity, and a sense of belonging.

Kinship caregivers are grandparents, relatives, siblings, and close family friends who step up during times of crisis to care for children they already know and love. Many are stepping back into a parenting role after their own children are grown and may not have a home stocked with the clothing, diapers, beds, or other essentials a child needs.

That’s where Foster Village Charlotte steps in. We provide tangible resources and ongoing support to help kinship caregivers feel equipped as they welcome a child into their home, often with little notice.

We’re grateful to walk alongside these caregivers and help ensure they have what they need to care for the children who need them most.
