What a beautiful morning to invest in our community!

Our Rotarians were out bright and early this morning, rolling up their sleeves and cleaning up our adopted stretch of Augustine Avenue!

A big THANK YOU to Amy, Renee, Mary Kathryn, Kathy, Jen, Shaney, Craig, Ron, and Bill for taking time out of their Saturday to help keep our community looking its best!

Please, help us keep West Virginia wild, wonderful, and litter-free! A little effort goes a long way. Please don’t litter, secure trash in your vehicles, and pick up litter when you can. Keeping our roadsides beautiful is everyone’s responsibility.

It’s just one more way Rotary puts Service Above Self into action, right here in our own backyard! Did you know that you don’t need to be a member to join us on some of our adventures in the community? We always welcome extra hands and smiling faces :)

Another great meeting filled with stories of service, resilience, and community. 💙💛

Miss Eastern Panhandle joined us to share her platform and her very personal connection to organ donation. As a liver transplant recipient who is once again awaiting a transplant as her current liver begins to fail, she brings a powerful voice to the importance of organ donation and the life-changing impact one donor can have. We’re grateful she spent time with us sharing her story, her advocacy, and her mission.

We also got to know one of our newest Rotarians a little better! Dillan Gray gave his classification speech and shared his enthusiasm for becoming more involved in our community. His philosophy of striving to be better today than yesterday fits right in with the spirit of Rotary and Service Above Self.

Thank you both for sharing your stories with us — and for reminding us of the many different ways one person can make a difference in their community.

Would you like to share your story or community initiative with our Rotary? Would you be interested in visiting or joining or Rotary? You can always message our page for more information and one of our awesome members will connect with you!

One of the magical things about Rotary is how it brings people together from all walks of life to serve and support each other and our community. Our fellow Rotarian, Dan, is a shining example of just that!

At 88, he shows up for so many of our volunteer initiatives and is still racing through life full of zest and excitement!! Case in point, this recent interview and showcase of Dan’s hobby as an enthusiast for Porsche and racing, as featured in the YouTube series hosted by Petrolicious.

Dan, thank you for being a part of the Charles Town Rotary and sharing your adventures with us!!

🌳💪 Rotary Day of Caring! 💪🌳

The Rotary Club of Charles Town rolled up our sleeves and took on Jefferson Memorial Park as part of the United Way of the Eastern Panhandle Day of Caring! Our members spent the morning weeding, trimming, cleaning up, and giving the park a little extra TLC. 🌿✂️

What better way to spend a morning than giving back to the community we’re proud to call home? We had a great time working together, getting our hands dirty, and making Jefferson Memorial Park even more beautiful for everyone to enjoy!

A big THANK YOU to all of our Rotary members who came out and made a difference! ❤️💛 Thank you to City National Bank and Melissa Knott for providing lunch!!!

Service Above Self isn’t just our motto—it’s what we do! 🌎✨

We enjoyed a terrific lunch meeting today, catered by our friends at GypsySoul Catering, while being reminded of how great the needs are in our community, especially as we approach the holiday season!

Thank you to Becky Linton and Kathy Bradley from Christmas Cash for Kids, who offered an impactful presentation on their program and the support it provides to children throughout our region.

Next week is United Way of the Eastern Panhandle’s Day of Caring so you will see our club’s friendly faces working at Jefferson Memorial Park, as well as at a few other community projects that could use some extra hands!

When students thrive, communities thrive.

The Rotary Club of Charles Town was proud to support Washington High School‘s Chromebook return on May 27. Over 900 Chromebooks were checked back in, already getting ready for next year’s learners! Thank you to everyone who helped make the day an awesome success!

Strong schools are built through strong community partnerships, and we’re grateful to play a small part in supporting our local students.

Rotarians hard at work again! As always Ann did an amazing job with the food. Thank you to everyone that helped bartend, prepared food and clean up! This was a dinner that was sold at the CFC live auction. If this looks like fun to you be sure to attend this year so you can get your bid in!
