The annual Over the Mountain Studio Tour takes place on Saturday and Sunday Nov. 14-15. This self-guided open studio tour features the work of several artisans at 11 tour stops.

A great opportunity to direct impact the community in a positive way!

We aren't posting about the sign yet because it's not ready, (though we kinda wish we did for reach purposes), but we are going to post about trees because there were SO MANY of you concerned about trees and our fourteenth year Tree City USA Status! Lot's of Lorax in CT, and we love that! We expect to see you on OCT 17th to help plant MORE trees in the city (to add to the 1500 planted in the last three years)! 🌳

Three years ago today, the Charles Town City Council unanimously voted to approve this design during a public meeting filled with local business owners and community supporters! 🏛️

​🌅 Appalachian Sunsets: The deep purples, vibrant magentas, warm golds, and blues draw directly from the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets over the Blue Ridge Mountains and Shenandoah Valley.

​🧱 Historic Downtown: The earthy tans, golds, and warm brick tones pay homage to the native limestone and classic architecture lining our streets.

​🧩 Community Facets: Each geometric shape symbolizes how our local artists, small businesses, historic preservation, and neighbors connect to form a revitalized whole.

​⚡ Fresh Energy: Moving away from muted traditional tones, those bold pops of color signal the exciting, forward-looking creative movement happening right here in Charles Town!

Downtown Charles Town was bursting with color for Paint the Town Day! 🎨✨

​On behalf of the Jefferson Arts Council, we want to send a huge thank you to Bushel & Peck for organizing such a wonderful event. JAC (and our own Jill!) loved being part of the celebration, and we were so proud to sponsor the kids' art activities to help inspire our community's youngest creators! 🖌️❤️
