Meals on Wheels seeks a part time office person for three days a week, five hours a day. This job requires good people skills and attention to detail. Will work side by side with other associates to coordinate and organize volunteers and employees. Salary dependent on ability. Computer skills necessary including Quickbooks, Word and Microsoft Office. Call Meals on Wheels between 11 am and 1 pm at 304-725-1601.

Meals on Wheels observes three holidays each year, July 4, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Because July 4 is on a Saturday this year, we will be closed on Friday, July 3. We will be sending out notes to our clients this upcoming week to see if they want an extra meal when we deliver on Thursday to make up for the one they will miss on Friday. Thank you.

We have a young lady who rides along with her mom in the summer and on school breaks to deliver food. She is graduating this weekend. Congratulations, thank you for helping us out, and best wishes in your future endeavors.

As we finish another school year, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the students and staff for their assistance this past school year with delivering meals to our clients. These students are polite, nice and very reliable. Yes, they are out of the classroom for a bit but they are doing a world of good in helping us out. I hope they realize how valuable they are. I also hope they were able to connect with some of our clients and see how much our clients appreciate the delivered meals and the small amount of time they have to interact. Have a great summer and see you in the new school year.

We pick up Martins leftover breads and pastries every week and today we really got a haul. These are just some of the items we received. And what we can't use, we take to JCCM.
