Belle the golden retriever supported democracy today at the rally for NC educators and students in Raleigh. Due to corporate tax cuts to defund education and vouchers for private schools, NC has dropped in nationwide standing to 50th in per student spending and 50th in teacher pay. Educated students fuel the future of North Carolina. Tell your state representatives to do their job for our children’s sake.

We are writing to share an important update regarding Save This Life (STL) microchips.
Save This Life has ceased operations, and their microchip database is no longer accessible.

What This Means
Microchips registered only with Save This Life will still scan, but owner contact information will no longer appear. This ONLY affects microchips beginning with 991 or 900164. If your pet's microchip is registered with another microchip company, you are not affected and may disregard this message.

Steps to Take Immediately

Locate your pet’s microchip number
– Check your paperwork or scan the pet for the microchip number.

Re-register the microchip
– Save This Life chips are universal and can be registered with another provider.

Choose a registry
– Options include 24PetWatch, FreePetChipRegistry.com, or PetLink.

Verify registration
– Use the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool to confirm your pet’s information is active.

If your pet were to become lost at this time, scanners would only display the chip number without owner information unless re-registration has occurred.

Additional Support Option
BuddyID®, through Creative Science, is offering free lifetime registration for pets affected by the Save This Life shutdown.
• Phone: 800-434-2843
• Email: [email protected]

We will also be attaching a document with additional microchip registry options. ***Attached below**

Rescued dog protested in Raleigh Monday.

09/02/2025

For Raleigh folks: A Christian nationalist group is meeting next week at the Crabtree Marriott. We will rally along Glenwood and Creedmoor on Monday at 5:30 pm.

We will celebrate the freedom of religion guaranteed in the US Constitution with a peaceful sidewalk rally against a meeting of the Christian nationalist group, the American Renewal Project, which is taking place at the Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley. Here's their Raleigh itinerary.

Leading the peaceful protest rally are Christians Against Christian Nationalism, the NC Council of Churches, Pastors for North Carolina Children, and several area churches.

When: Peaceful sidewalk rally on Monday, Sept. 8, 5:30 pm.

Where: The public sidewalks on the northwest corner of the intersection of Glenwood and Creedmoor, below the Marriott (not on Marriott Drive). Protesters will stand with their signs -- no marching! Parking generously provided by Benson Memorial United Methodist Church, 4706 Creedmoor Road.

Want to participate?: Make your signs celebrating the separation of Church and State, Freedom of Religion, etc., and join us. Bring your friends.
