The best training isn’t just about a well-behaved pup - it’s about building a relationship that lasts a lifetime.
When we built Beautiful Together Animal Sanctuary here in Chapel Hill, we wanted it to be more than a place where animals are rescued and cared for. We intentionally created spaces where we could bring people together, share knowledge and offer education - not only for our fosters and adopters, but for those considering surrendering their pets, and anyone who wants to be part of improving animal welfare in North Carolina.
This weekend was a perfect example. A huge thank you to Marcia Martin, In-home Dog Trainer for presenting such an informative, practical program on building a lifelong relationship with your pup by starting with great training.
Marcia shared so many useful details and actionable steps - and we’re especially grateful for the hands-on work she does right here at the sanctuary, helping our pups build confidence, learn positive behaviors and become even more prepared for their future homes.
