☀️ The Ranch is Closed for the Summer! ☀️
As temperatures rise in Arizona, we’ve learned that the summer months are simply too hot, for both us and the animals, to operate the way we normally do. Like we do each year, Rowell Ranch will be closed for the summer season.
That means our regular tours and volunteer schedule will pause until the fall, when the weather becomes a little more comfortable for everyone.
But while the Ranch is taking its summer break, our Pet Food Assistance Program is still running strong and will be our primary focus over the summer months! 🐶🐱🐤
This program helps provide food and supplies for the pets of homebound seniors in the East Valley, and the need continues year-round. We are incredibly grateful for everyone who supports this program through donations, volunteering, and sharing our mission.
If you stop by to visit the animals from along the pasture fence, please keep in mind that during the hotter months many of them prefer to stay in their shaded stalls with fans and misters, so they may not come up to the fence to say hello.
If you do visit, please be mindful of our neighbors:
🚗 Park in front of our property on the gravel and walk along the fence, or pull as far to the side as possible to allow other vehicles through on the dirt road.
We appreciate your understanding, your continued support, and your help caring for both our sanctuary animals and the beloved pets in our community.
We hope everyone has a safe, happy, and hydrated summer! ☀️💕
