Best Buddies at U of I pairs people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in one-to-one friendships with college students.

Best Buddies provides an opportunity for participants to change the world simply by making a new friend.

Why I joined Best Buddies at UIUC - I had an amazing experience in similar inclusion programs throughout middle and high school, and wanted to stay involved in something I feel so passionately about!

Why I joined Best Buddies at UIUC - I’ve always had a strong passion for disability advocacy and I love making meaningful friendships. I also wanted to be part of an inclusive and diverse community, so BB felt like the perfect fit!

Why I joined Best Buddies at UIUC - I choose to join best buddies because I wanted to be apart of a group of people that help to foster friendships and advocate for those with disabilities.

Why I joined Best Buddies at UIUC - I joined Best Buddies at the University of Illinois because of my involvement in similar high school programs and a close friendship with a runner with special needs that began in middle school and continued throughout high school.

Why I joined Best Buddies at UIUC - I have been apart of similar organizations from a very young age. I am a champion for making every space inclusive to all regardless of any differences that may exist. Best Buddies is a great fit because I believe everyone in this world deserves to have a friend! 🫶🏽
