What if your congregation could help fight poverty in Champaign County simply by ringing a bell together?

This year, The Salvation Army is launching PASTORS VS. POVERTY on Saturday, December 5, and we'd love for you and your congregation to be part of it!

Throughout the Christmas season, we host special Red Kettle ringing days featuring groups like realtors, firefighters, and local law enforcement. This year, we're bringing our faith community together for a special day dedicated to fighting poverty and helping families in need.

Here's how it works: You and your congregation choose the location and time that work best for you using our sign-up link. ringforgood.org/champaign

We'll take care of the rest and highlight participating churches on our social media and through traditional media as a public thank-you for putting faith into action.

It's a simple, visible way to serve our neighbors, bring your congregation together, and help break generational cycles of poverty and trauma right here in our community.

Every afternoon, IGNITE Teen Outreach provides a safe, welcoming space where students in grades 6-12 can learn, grow, and thrive.

Through homework support, mentoring, life skills, recreation, and positive relationships, we're helping local youth build confidence and prepare for a brighter future.

If you know a teen who could benefit from a supportive after-school environment, we'd love to connect with you. Feel free to reach out to our leadership team or complete your registration here:

Today we had a youth Sunday takeover!

Our middle & high school students helped to plan and lead the worship service.

They lead us in announcements, offering, prayer, sharing of testimonies, and even bringing the message. We are so proud of each of them.

A huge thanks to our Youth Ministries Director, Brayden Stuckey, for all the hours he put in to get them ready for today.
